i just bought a 12 pack of 12 oz, gatorade from wal-mart, and the caps are IMPOSSIBLE to get off. I have to literally, take a long knife and hit the cap(in the direction that it comes off), about 20 times, then it is stil hard to get off. has anyone else ever had this problem?

no, i'm not weak, i buy the BIG bottles of gatorade everyday. i have NEVER had a problem with opening any bottles or anything. SO DON'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING ABOUT ME BEING WEAK!

every once in a while i will buy a product where the cap is pretty hard to get off. usually its just a dud. im guessing that if you would have bought the 12 pack to the left or the right of the one you got, you would have been fine.

for now, try holding a rag in your hand while you twist the cap... sometimes that will help.

A gallon of Gatorade on a hot day isn't really that excessive. Be sure to supplement it with plenty of plain, cool water, though. On very hot days, and especially if you work in hot weather a lot, your sweat consists mostly of plain water, so drinking plain water is the best way to stay hydrated. But some cold glasses of Gatorade or some other cool soft drink during the day won't hurt. The important thing is just to make sure that you drink plenty of fluids.

I haven't had that problem with Gatorade. Soda, water bottles, juice bottles....yes I have. Sometimes it happens after I've already opened it and then put the cover back on. DH usually ends up taking skin off his hands before he can get it reopened for me.
