From the environmental perspective, population control is very important today and hence programs that may implement the same.

We live in a world of finite resources. it has to be divided amongst the given population. lab tests have proven this, but we do not need the tests to know that most of the crime today is between the haves and the havenots.

the more our population burgeons, the less each one's share becomes. a time comes when the share is not enough and tensions begin.

Also, every living being has a eological footprint. which is the amount of ecological resources needed to sustain the being. Man has by far the largest due his more than basic needs and wants. As a result our lifestyle causes the earth to support even lesser humans.

Furthermore there is the question of space. Where are we going to live. Man has destroyed more forests and wild habitats to make room for him to live than he has cleare for resources.

At the same time? where are the population control programs. in India the government is still very very mildly campaigning about limiting the family to TWO kids. when what it needs is strongly implementing a single kid family.
