That they have a tattoo, usually aren't afraid of being judged, normally could care less and realized that it's their body not yours. Over all, people who do get tattoos are pretty confident with themselves so I think it shows some strong character if they put thought into what they got. Now there will always be bad tattoos out there but most are beautifully thought out, very personal and a wonderful expression of who they are. I have two tattoos and put thought into them, I love them.

what does what say? the fact that they have a tattoo? i guess it says different things about different people. as for me and the friends that i have who are tattooed it says that we are committed to our body art and aren't in it to be trendy and cool. each of us have very unique tattoos that don't define us as people but enhance certain aspects of ourselves. often people judge others with tattoos but that is just... a fact of life and testament to people's ignorance. not everybody with tattoos is the same and it's ridiculous to lump us all into one category.
i love art and my tattoos are art. not all tattoos are art, but mine are.

Tattoos mean many different things for many different people.

I hope you don't mean to imply that there are negative reasons behind getting tattoos. I wonder, what kind of clothes you wear, and what does THAT mean???

Well, there's lots of possible answers to this question and I'm gonna say that I got mine for me, I picked them out with great deliberation and they each have meaning to me. I've got eight and they're all expressions of who I am, not what someone else wanted me to be.

that they aren't afraid to express themselves no matter what other people might think or say. people should be more open minded when it comes to art and self expression.

depends on their age . If they are over 30 then they are still living their life as if they were teenagers . If younger than 18 they will regret it in later years when the skin goes wrinkly and the tattoo becomes a black smudgy blob. As to what it says about a person ,then the young ones are imature ,but think they will look good , tough ? i dont really know what they think these days ,The older ones as i said before are looking for lost youth,shame really but there you go ,thats life
