I've wondered the same thing!
What really makes me angry is when people report your answer....for no reason at all. I just lost like 12 points because I answered "ewwww" to a very disgusting question.

Stars designate questions that are especially interesting and thought provoking. I don't see many questions like that on here. I see:
- a lot of comments disguised as questions
- a lot of questions that could easily be answered by anyone who did a google search
- a lot of the same questions over and over again
- and even some attacks disguised as questions

I am on Q&A to answer questions to help other people in a
positive way. And knowing I am helping others. I am enjoying
it. I don't care about stars, points, or best answers.
And the stars don't "pay" you anything accept your "pat on the
back" and the "quest" for more stars. <}:-})
