Even though there is a Mountain load of evidence showing he was a Christian and both the Protestant and Catholic Church embraced him as a righteous leader.

Do these same people consider Bin Laden to be a Muslim while millions of Muslims disown HIS fanatical views ?

Why the double standard ?

Saying Hitler was a Christian is about as RIDICULOUS as saying Atheists believe in God.

Are you stuck on Hitler today??

It really does not matter what church he claimed to go to...

He is not a righteous leader of anything that would be embraced by any church...

Hitler was an evil person, this is shown by documentation ...

There is no double standard...Hitler shall be judged on judgment day as will everyone else...

The only people who regard him as a righteous leader is the Hitler youth / Natzi groups....

He was raised a Catholic. He was like most people a non believer, but if someone asked,he was a Catholic. He was into the Occult ,big time and that was his downfall.
Millions of Muslims disown Ben Laden's views but millions don't.We have already killed at least 100,000 of those creeps ,but we have many to go.
Hitler at first .fooled the public, and then terrified them into submission.

What Hitler "claimed" to be is irrelevant, whether that was a Christian, Protestant, Catholic, or whatever. His actions prove he didn't follow Jesus' teachings, so he was not representative of Christianity (or Protestants, Catholicism, or whatever).

It's a fine question, but it strikes me that you may be yielding to personal bias in the matter of Bin Laden.

History has yet to rule on whether he emerges as an evil madman or a mighty defender of Islam. There are large numbers who subscribe to both of these characterisations, and many shades between them.

LOLOL Hitler was too much of a megalomaniac to embrace any kind of religious belief system other than belief in his own supremacy. He was about as "christian" as members of the KKK. My father was over there fighting him. The only thing Hitler had in common with Christianity is that similar to earlier christians in history he was hell bent on wiping out people he didn't like or approve of.

Whether or not he was a 'Christian' doesn't prove anything, so why the fuss? What are people trying to prove?

In any case, if he was one he sure was a lousy one, because he didn't follow a single one of the principles that Jesus gave his followers.

Christians would rather perpetuate a lie, make theological excuses, and advertise their ignorance than claim Hitler as a Christian like them.

do you really blame them?

sorry fundies, Hitler was in fact (or at least believed himself to be) a Christian, and "doing the work of god". he says so himself on numerous occasions. this does not mean that he wasn't also crazy and evil. there are lots of Christians that are crazy and evil. Can you honestly say he wasn't a Christian when he claimed to be time and time again? how is it that you fundies get to be the arbiter of who is and who isn't a Christian?

oh, i remember now, the argument goes something like this; Christians can't be or do bad things, anyone that does and claims to be a Christian really isn't, that way, it is impossible that any Christian should be/do anything evil. very, very, convenient.

if you don't think this is the way Christians "reason", just refer to "Christian b's" answer below which regurgitates this flawed logic....

Christians live a faith based on lies, so it is very easy for them to conjure up other lies to support their system of beliefs.

I would have to assume that some of these christians are the same ones that believe the Passion of the Christ was a documentary, that the Holocaust never happened and that the Jews deserve eternal damnation for the murder of the christ.

What a bunch of Kool-aid drinking sheep.
