it's your body, do what you want. personally, i'm not a fan of tattoos around the belly button. there's something about that lower tummy area is really pure and plain especially for a woman. i wouldn't put ink all over it. but if you like the way it looks then who cares what anyone thinks, including me!

I agree with someone else who said that they dont like the tattoos around the belly buttons. Also, like someone said, it can stretch out during pregnancy, if you ever decide to have children.
I personally, think anything that leads to the genitals is a bit class-less. But, its your body and what you like.
I would think about it for a long long time, maybe a year even, and then see if you still feel the same way.

it sounds like one of those tattoos that ends up being regretted when you're older and married with kids. i'm all for tattoos (obviously) but not for tattoos that have no meaning or purpose. people always talk about tramp tamps... well that seems very trampy to me. as i get older i realize how important it is to make good decisions when deciding on PERMANENT things... you are bound to change your mind so i would skip that but it is your body and if you want to do it when the time is right... go for it, but removal is painful and expensive.

Pregnancy will ruin that tattoo. A friend has a butterfly there and just from weight gain and loss over the past 10 years, it's distorted and broken along the edges.

It sounds a bit weird. What do you do when you feel self conscious and need to go to the beach but only have bikini's! My answer is, piercings are ok, you can always take the earrings out, but tatoos are ugly. Tatoos are permanent, and will be on you forever, even when you are a grandma. It is permanent ink that goes under you skin and stay there forever, which is actually really bad for you. If you decide you don't want a tatoo anymore, you have to get it lazered off which doesn't even get totally rid of it, plus it is very expensive. I recommend not getting a tatoo. Also I've heard tons of stories about people get tatoos that didn't come out the way they wanted it to, or turned darker or lighter and look completely ugly!
Take my advice and don't get a tatoo!

I do not like tattoos that much and find that those that may look cute on a teenager look ridiculous on a grandmother. Tattooing is for life unless you opt for expensive laser surgery that may not totally remove it. If you must have the look, try Henna. That looks real but can be removed easily and will disappear within a few weeks anyway.
What you described, to make it worse, would seem to be an open invite for a boy to go where he shouldn't.

If your looking for the tat to look 'ok' and not great or really good, then maybe you shouldn't get it.
