Cats aren't like people where we naturally ovulate. For a cat to ovulate she needs to have sex. After having sex with a tom about 24 hours after ovulation will occur & the ovums *eggs* will be released... after this happens she will be able to get pregnant. You say you don't let your cat our very often if it was only for a few hours on the odd day then maybe she isn't. Also.. since you keep her indoors she won't be coming on heat like outdoor cats, her heat cycles won't just be in the spring and summer but could be all year round every other week due to the artificial lightning inside a house which cofuses them. Warning.. If you keep her undesexed and unmated she could develope cystic ovaries and become infertile and experience weight gain. After she has her kittens you should have her desexed... cats on heat just seem overly frustrated its not worth putting them threw it unless your a breeder and its for a short time.
Anyway good luck with your kitty and maybe future kitty family.

She's pregnant. Just letting her out once could've allowed her to get that way. After all, a cat has two mating seasons a year, before winter, and around the start of summer.

Yes! Sounds pregnant to me! Your best bet was to get her fixed in the first place, either way your going to have a big vet bill now. You have to make sure the kittens have their first shots. Kittens (and cats), but kittens especially are VERY VULNERABLE to upper respiratory diseases and worms!!!! That's why alot of kittens don't make it due to upper respiratory problems. After she has them-if you want to keep her, you must get the mother fixed!!! But wait till she has weined the kittens first which is about 4 to 6 weeks of age. All female cats should be fixed unless you are a breeder. Good luck!

Wanting and reality are two different things.

Either she was in heat, got out and was bred by a tom cat - in which case she's pregnant, or she wasn't in heat and she's not.

The logical thing would be to take her to your vet and have her spayed. Wishing won't make things unhappen.

Look at the size of her belly. If it gets bigger within a week and a half, yep, shes pregnant.

that cat is pregnat and she probly did get that way when you let her out there are alot of wild cats and outdoor cats around so it is very possable you dont have to spay it if you want the little kittens or you could just stop letting her out during the mating times of cats

if she isnt spayed it is possible - I would suggest getting her spayed now - yes even if that means aborting the littter.. problem is that every year million cats and kittens are euthanized.. if your cat has one litter that litter might find homes - but all that means is that somebody elses litter did not...

so to end suffering its best to spay and abort.. please consider this - unspayed females have more health risks.. if you love your kitty you will spay her.

Why do you want her to have kittens?

Do you want to see the "miracle of birth"?

Let me take you to a shelter and show you the "miracle of death"!
