you have to recognize that china has one of the fastest growth in economy in the whole world... there may be some other countries but the sheer size of china's economy far outshadows the others...

of course it (the train) will be better than the trains of the developed countries since the american/european ones are already old... plus, the chinese train benefited on the new technology.

china's rise to economic greatness is really laudable... it is actually the 4th largest economy now... §

that's illusion, don't get fooled, the fact:

Shanghai's per capita: 7000 USD (2006)

NY's per capita: 50000 USD

end of story.

I'm Chinese, I can assure you that 99% chinese care about their social secure more than how many skycrapers and Tiffiny are built.
