"How do you get His " words" spoken to you?" ...

The life that the Spirit gives is obviously Spiritual life. The Holy Spirit (mind of Christ, cf. 1 Cor. 2:16); speaks to us through the Bible, that is why God gave us the written word. God took several hundred years to carefully complie the Bible, His message to mankind, and when He finished, in the last book, in the last chapter, in the last few verses, God warned:

Re 22:18
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Marturw' ejgw; panti; tw'/ ajkouvonti tou; lovgou th' profhteiva tou' biblivou touvtou: ejavn ti ejpiqh'/ ejpj aujtav, ejpiqhvsei oJ qeo; ejpj aujto;n ta; plhga; ta; gegrammevna ejn tw'/ biblivw/ touvtw/:

Re 22:19
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

kai; ejavn ti ajfevlh/ ajpo; tw'n lovgwn tou' biblivou th' profhteiva tauvth, ajfelei' oJ qeo; to; mevro aujtou' ajpo; tou' xuvlou th' zwh' kai; ejk th' povlew th' aJgiva, tw'n gegrammevnwn ejn tw'/ biblivw/ touvtw/.

In Revelation "book" is from the original Greek word "biblivw" from where we get the English word "Bible".

The Christ of God left His glory and indwelled (Incarnated) a human body "prepared for me."

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63

It is a fact that FULL DEITY dwelled in Jesus of Nazareth (cf. Colossians 2:9): those who have the audacity to cut the Godhead into three persons (people) like a pecan pie, claiming that God speaks to them audiby through one of "his persons" apart from the inspired words of God are defined by John as Anti-Christs.

1.The spirit of GOD is life. It is that spirit that is the life force in all things. When that spirit leaves our flesh decays. Those who reject GOD still have his spirit until it is removed.

2. All things done in the flesh away from GOD's will are self serving in one way or another. The flesh dies and our life is snuffed out. *Poof!* Nothing.

3. By reading and meditating on Jesus recorded words and prayer for daily direction.

4. (story time) I am divorced and re married. I went to my daughters high school graduation. While I was there I had a few minutes alone with my ex Wife. Let's just say they were "Hallmark Moments" where some very kind words were spoken in a very loving way. Out of no were came Proverbs 26:11: As a dog returneth to his vomit, [so] a fool returneth to his folly. It got stuck in my head and I couldn't shake it. If the Holy Spirit would not of stopped that situation, I could of badly damaged the lives of at least 7 people. That list includes my wonderful wife of 11 Years and our 3 children.

Hope that helps.

His discourse with the multitude.

The human nature of Christ had not before been in heaven, but being God and man, that wondrous Person was truly said to have come down from heaven. The Messiah's kingdom was not of this world; and they were to understand by faith, what he had said of a spiritual living upon him, and his fulness. As without the soul of man the flesh is of no value, so without the quickening Spirit of God all forms of religion are dead and worthless. He who made this provision for our souls, alone can

teach us these things, and draw us unto Christ, that we may live by faith in him. Let us apply to Christ, thankful that it is declared that every one who is willing to come unto him shall be made welcome. (Jn 6:66-71)

1-Life is given by our salvation from God. God is spirit.
2- The flesh passes away and is the start of sin which brings death.
3- "Faith comes by hearing the word of God" through church, bible, fellowship, prayer.
4- reading the bible. Sometimes it almost seems God puts in new stuff in his bible. -lol

I'm glad you are here Sandy!

just what the verse said, it is the spirit that speaketh... so it only addresses our spirit... It is God who is speaking, so our heart will be the one to listene... The Word of God Spoke to your heart and the Holy Spirit will be the one to instill it into your heart... The Word of God is the food of our spirit that's why it is life...
