yes it has and i dont go anymore because of it . they told alot of us who were sunday school teachers that if we had any sexual abuse in our past we could no longer teach sunday school . I felt that was unfair and alot of us women quit going to church because of this . I was not sexually abused at all but I felt that it was unfair of the preacher and deacons to do this . i lodged a complaint with the association that this church belongs to ,never heard anything . good luck .

When I was young, we were just getting off of Vatican II, and Pope John the 23rds methods and ideals were the church's direction. It was quite a liberal church. Workers Rights. No Death Penalty. Freedom and empowerment of the individual. (Read the opening statements of Vatican II about free will) Since then, the conservatives have backlashed, calling monks, who've given up sex and money, bad because they're liberation theologists or that they've come to the conclusion that Jesus was the ultimate liberal. Watch the right-wing EWTN. Clean shaven conservatives, who I wouldn't trust with my 8 year old daughter, have become the norm, while truely faithful individuals like Thomas Merton, have become rare. The Jesuits are perhaps the only good Catholics left!

The church I used to go to has to sell chicken dinners, submarine sandwich's,trips... to keep paying the bills for the church or they would lose it. they even charge a membership fee to be a member. I've really haven't heard anything good but I heard a lot of gossip pertaining to who sleeping with who. I'm sorry to report this but this is the condition of that church.

Sometimes we have 3 songs before the first prayer instead of 2 and sometimes we open with a prayer.
