On one hand it would be easier to find questions you are more interested in. Check out the science & mathematics section and how many sections there are there. Should the R&S section be much like the same? At least this way you can isolate questions that are meant only for Christians or atheists or Jews or Taoists. People who want to answer questions only on Buddhism will not have to slug through 100s of Christian vs atheist posts.

Or better yet just have a section "Christian/atheist rhetoric"

I think they should set it up like the Pets section. All questions would appear on the general "R&S" board, but they would be separated out in the sub categories. Like if I ask "Is this where the atheists are supposed to ask about God," it would show up in that Cats section where it belongs, but it would also show up on the general "Pets" board. That way dog owners wouldn't have to slough through all of those questions about God (and cats), but if they would like to answer questions about not only dogs, but cats, iguanas, and God, they could check out the Pets board. See, it all makes sense. Sort of.

Yes I do, the bombardment of other religions that disagree with your beliefs and are trying to convert you to their beliefs (mostly Christians) are tiring. Also, when so many questions on Religion are posted every couple of minutes usually your question is so far down the line that people you would prefer to answer usually don't. ie Muslims (which I only know some), Christians (that would give them a place to do their preaching for the over enthusiastic ones), Taoists, Buhdists, Yoga (yes it is also a belief as well as an excersise), Wiccans, and Pagans. This way we can all get more valid answers to our questions rather than have to weed through nonsense and things that do not pertain to our specific questions.

NO! Noone gathers a group in public with just like-minded individuals to chat. Christians and others like to make noise and have everyone hear what they have to say. Therefore, they should have to listen to what people have to say about their religion in a public forum and not one just for them. christians ridicule everyone. It is only fair that opposing voices have the right to answer christian allegations in public and not on some forum just for christians.

Both are good ideas. It would be nice to speak freely among bretheren instead of stepping on each others toes!

The word of God says "Don't through pearls (or wisdom) before swine". Personally I think he was refering to the Christian-bating atheists. Can we just agree to disagree about which of us is the swine.

Stay as it is.
One can easily tell which religion (or non-religion) is being referred to.
Just look at the questions in which you are interested.

i think they should sub-divide it bc it would make it a lot easier and not as many arguments or RUDE COMMENTS would appear....
