spaghetti??

Spaghetti.

Easy, can't hardly screw it up, everyone likes it (nearly).

If she can cook at all have her make the sauce, at least partially anyway. Make a few meatballs to make it more homemade.

This way she isn't going overboard, but it is a little better than boiling noodles and dropping in some Ragu.

For the sauce...

Heat 3 tbsp olive oil in a skillet. Get a green pepper, a small onion, olives (good) and some fresh garlic and oregano. Dice a little small the green pepper and once the oil is hot toss in the peppers. Sautee about 2 min then chop 1/4 cup onions and sautee till the just start to get soft. Throw in the oregano and finely diced garlic. Sautee justa couple of minutes, make sure the oil isn't crazy hot it can burn the garlic. Put in the olives, maybe 2 tbsp diced up small, not a lot, and they can be big chunks if you want. Now put in a small can of diced tomatoes, italian spiced work well. Add a small can of spaghetti sauce. (28oz +/- is normal size I think)

Meatballs are easy, just use 1/2 lb beef, add some bread crumbs, 1 egg and some "Italian seasoning" along with a little of the fresh oregano. Make the balls, get some olive oil hot, cook 4~6 min a side.

Make sure to get some fresh garlic bread.

Anyway, ima guy, you would definitely have a shot at getting luvky with this plan, lol.

Grilled chicken fettuccini with alfredo sauce. Not only is it easy it is good tasting and good for you then for the side do a salad and some garlic toast.
Boil some water for the pasta then grill the chicken. Use some already made store bought alfredo sauce then for the garlic toast.

4 Slices whole wheat bread
16 Sprays olive oil spray

place bread on a nonstick baking sheet.
spray bread with 4 sprays each

4 dashes oregano
4 dashes garlic powder
4 dashes grated parmesan cheese

sprinkle evenly over bread.

broil 1 to 2 minutes. Set timer as they can burn quickly!
I usually just broil one side, but flip the bread and toast another minute if desired.

For serving, cut toast diagonally in each direction to make 4 triangles per slice.

Set oven rack 6" away from heating elementturn oven on broil and remeber to leave the door open.

I would arrange a night where he comes over to your house and you cook dinner for him.. Some guys would prefer to be financially responsible for dates, and this will show him that you care about him and you're willing to return the favor.. Also, make sure that you still offer to pay for things, and don't get upset if he eventually accepts! He sounds like a good guy, I hope this lasts and he continues to act this way!

I would first find out what he likes.. I hope he's not a vegeterian...with that note here goes:
1) Asparagus and roasted red potatoes with herbs (prepare with olive oil, italian seasonings and fresh garlic)
2) Baked Salmon with dill and mustard sauce or roasted cornish hens
3) chocolate covered strawberries or purchase his favorite dessert

*** Easier recipe and still romantic: Seafood Linguini (shrimp, scallops, and mussels(she can find pre-package mussel with sauce in the supermarket), tossed green salad, garlic bread and his favorite white wine and dessert. Less preparation time but fabulous meal.

Italian is a good all round choice and easy to cook and very popular, keep it simple so you don't spend all night in the kitchen.
Lasagne, garlic bread and green salad or
Spaghetti bolognese, parmesan and coleslaw or
Seabass fillet, prawn and leek tagliatelle, mixed salad, olive loaf
or
Parma ham wrapped chicken breast, wild mushroom risotto
Just a few ideas for you

He's probably only coming over to get laid. So, don't bother with the cooking. Just go wait in the bedroom.
