If he was born 10 years ago in the US and his friends were spray painting the school wall, WWJD?
If he was born 20 years ago, would he be in college now?
If he was born 30 years ago, would he be a religious figure of some sort? A political leader?
At what point would he be recognized as the superstar, or would nobody recognize him?
Are we positive he will come back as a man and not a woman? I mean, he does need to be born all over again, right?
Everyone says he's coming back soon, I'm just trying to figure out the logistics.

Eileen: we better recognize him...or else? That fear based approach doesn't appeal to me.

Dude, read your Bible. Jesus is alive today. He has ascended to the Heavens to prepare a place for those who will be reconciled to Him on Judgement Day. When He returns for us..it will be in the sky surrounded by the heavenly host to redeem the saved from the earth and destroy what is left.
Matthew 24:30
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
When this sign appears...all the armies of the world will converge to make war with what will be percieved as a threat and religious intolerance will be tantamount because of this sign so persecution will increase. There won't be many faithful left on the earth because when the time comes all those who profess Christ will either be slain or will recant their belief because of fear. Those that are left will be the overcomers having gone through this tribulation which will be kept short for thier sakes, it will be so terrible. Study. Study so that you can see the signs that are being fulfilled and have been fulfilled even today. Jesus was born and lived at the exact precise moment in our history when He should have to bring things about in the manner for which they have culminated today. When He comes back...you will know...just as lightening flashes can be seen spreading across the horizon from the east to the west...He won't be mistaken for anything else. Love in Christ, ~J~

I believe if Jesus does actually return to earth, it will be a sign of the end of the world as we know it. It will be a sign that God is ready to take the believers to heaven and sort out the non believers and send them to Hell, as it says in Revelations.
So, considering that senario, I don't think he'll have any time spray paint our walls, become a political leader or a superstar. He'll just start rounding up the believers and striking down the wicked.
That's the true meaning of Jesus' return, according to the bible.

Are you really that certain he was here the first time?
I mean that honestly.
If I told you the story of Gilgamesh, 2/3 God, 1/3 Man, would you have doubts?
Keep in mind that Gilgamesh was regarded as being at least as real as Jesus is for about as long of a time.
Do you really believe that virgins get pregnant on their own, that water can be turned into wine, that a man can walk on water or that dead people get up and walk around?
Honestly?
Do you believe in Superman, Batman and The Magnificent Seven?
Honestly?
I think Jesus is pure mythology, in the same class as Horus, Appollo and Mithra.
I would not hold my breath waiting for him to show up at Christmas Dinner.

Well the bible says that when Jesus comes again that EVERYONE will see Him and EVERYONE will know it is Him.
I believe that is refering to a persons physical death. I think that this is the next time He will come. I believe He is the first person to greet us on the other side, and everyone will know who He is.
I don't necessarily believe that HE couldn't come back in the physical form (which could be male or female), I just don't believe that is what is meant in the bible.

Spiritually speaking,
Jesus is here and present in us when we show mercy and love, so there is no need for coming and going as you mention. What the second coming promises is deliverance of all man and judgement day.
When we see good, we see god - be it Jesus, Allah or buddha-nature.
Jesus in the Trinity is past, present and future, all at the same time, man-defined logistics is not relevant. Instead of logistics, focus on who is being 'delivered' and make sure that you are one of them!

Its clear that He will have some relevence to todays world, but that isn't the critical point; Its more important that He be the benevolent force that He was 2000 years ago. I also believe that we will not know that He was here until after He is gone...meaning that its only in hindsight that we can make an appraisal. I think this is a good thing though, because it is not healthy to worship someone who walks amongst us.

The Bible describes some parts of his return... particularly in the Book of Revelation.
If he were here today there are some things that would not change - he would challenge self-righteous church leaders and not promote himself. Some would see who he is, some would not.

Wow silver01222000, that's profound :) I gave you a thumbs up!
As a believer, Jesus is alive in me. As for your question as to when he'll come back, well, nobody knows that. Everyone just has to be spiritually prepared.

Jesus is alive. That is the point of the living resurection.
No, he does not need to be born all over again. He lives now, today, at this very moment. When he returns again, the trumpets of angels will herald his coming, and he will return to judge the quick and the dead.
