Some friends of ours decided to take their dogs along with them to our home, which we were excited about at first. But one of their dogs really got violent and went for our dog. I didnt think too much of it at first, but I see now two days later she has a small puncture like hole on the side of her face, just below her mouth. Its not too big, or very deep but it has some puss coming out of it so we're keeping it clean.
Is this something we should go to the vet for do you think? All our dogs have had their rabies vaccines so Im not afraid of that. Vet trip or are we worrying too much?

Punctures are the most dangerous of wounds in that they will tend to become infected more easily.
But you are doing exactly what a vet would have told you to do, watch it! Although the vet would have given an antibiotic shot.
Keep it clean, I know it's hard with a dog.
If you have Panalog cream put that on it, if not use an anti-biotic cream. Unless the dog can get at it and lick the cream off. If that is the case you need to rub it in, you can just pretend that you are giving affection. Do so at least twice per day until the sore looks better, maybe a week, maybe just a couple days, depending upon the size of the wound.
You can never worry too much!
You can get the antibiotic cream in any pharmacy type store.
Let me know how it turns out!!!
By the way:
If it should become red or raised then go to the vet, he will need a shot for infection and the sore opened up

I will probably get lots of thumbs down for this answer. But I would just put triple antibiotic on the puncture hole and depending on size of dog and pain maybe baby aspirin (two for larger dogs)I would keep the ointment on at least 3-4 times a day, and the baby aspirin 1-2 daily.

Yes, please take her to the vet. The puss that you have mentioned could indicate infection. Even though this seems small If left this could cause major problems, at the very least your dog will be put on antibiotics. Something like this can be very painful so a vet trip is definitely the right way to go.

If the wound is clean and your dog is showing no signs of distress or discomfort she will be fine. My little dog once had a scuffle with another little dog (both female Staffies) and came away with a small cut on her face. I kept it clean and it healed in no time at all. She wasn't even bothered by it. On another occasion a neighbours huge Alsatian charged out of their house and bit her on her side, it's teeth punctured the skin top and bottom of the bite, but I didn't realise until about 5 the next morning when she was shivering and whining and her side was swollen, and for that I called the emergency vet phone number and took her for treatment.

I would take her to the Vet. Especially since there is puss that mean there could possibly be an infection and she might need some antibiotics.
Good Luck!

Because puss is present, there could be an infection. Take him/her to the vet immediately before it gets worse. Don't take it upon yourself to think that the dog will be fine just because it has had all of its shots.

You are doing the right thing keeping it clean. The next thing to do is to go to your vet and stop worrying. It sounds like there is an infection there which might need anti biotics.

As far as I'm concerned Puss = Infection...take your dog to the vet now or you could find if left the situation will get alot worse.

As long as it is draining and you are cleaning it she should be fine. If it isn't getting better, take her to the vet.
One of my dogs gets small puncture wounds occasionally and I clean with a little hydrogen peroxide and apply antibiotic ointment and it always heals just fine with no trip to the vet.

That's an infection and yes you need to go to the vet. That one small puncture wound can cover an extensive amount of damage(tearing with the teeth while they shake their head) to the soft tissue. Good luck
