I wouldn't torment you for not believing in me.

If I were God, and therefore omnipotent, I would just heal the souls I saw as flawed rather than casting them into an eternity of torture. That's the least I would expect from a god that really loved its creation.

Torture. Not like agonizing pain torture. More like forcing them to watch Rosie Odonnel and Oprah Winfrey wrestle naked in a kiddy pool filled with creamed corn type of torture.

Not at all.I would ask them to draw a list of DOs and DON"Ts for themselves, discuss, debate and agree on a final list. There after ,they shall monitor their own doings and get screwed if they the violate the list. Tell me,God or no God,why should I dirty my hands for the wrong doings of others? No way.Even as a God,I am entitled to a life of my own and live it in a happy manner.

Eh, a very black and white question. I believe any system for punishment is flawed, because there are several circumstances to every action one does. Humans are very complicated creatures.
Take the anime Death Note for example: A teenage boy played "god" and killed off every criminal he deemed evil in order to purge the world. In reality he was nothing more than a serial killer that targeted those that did crimes. It all depends on ones view point.

The world is full of 'bad' examples of creators; bomb makers, shipbuilders. God created a beautiful garden of love and beauty and put his first son into it with all the creatures that he could imagine. Look what happened when he gave man a mind of his own and a beautiful woman! Did he appreciate her or all else that his creator blessed him with? Nope, he's been tearing it up ever since!!!and blaming God for giving him HER!

God created everything that we see and don't see, and it was perfect. He created man in His own image to fellowship with him. The one commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve was to NOT eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge. However, they did and sin entered the world. God did not create sin, man did through disobedience.
Sin is eternal separation from God because He is righteous and holy. God does not send people to hell they do that themselves because of their disobedience. Hell was created for Lucifer (Satan) and the third of the angels whow also rebelled against God. Isaiah 14:12-15 describes the results of Lucifer's (Satan) rebellion; " How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."
We have to choose who we will serve just as Joshua: in the 24:15 chapter of Joshua, " And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. "
We have a choice because has given us all "free will" or the right to exercise whatever we want to do. Sin is NOT powerful enough to stand against the will of Almighty God! But sin is powerful enough to send us to hell!
There is a choice to be made. To live for or against the will of God. Choosing to live for God means repenting of all sins, baptism in the precious Name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38) and being filled with Holy Spirit. Having repented does not mean that we won't sin ever, but 1 John 2:1 tells us, "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:" He and He alone is our mediator according to, "1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"
Fear in the sense of a Christian's fear is the reverential awe of God, not worldly fear.

If you killed them you wouldn't need an afterlife.
If someone simply stops existing they can't say 'HEY! What happened to my afterlife!?'
Dwell on that, theists...
