Why is it nothing in the drug store has "cure" written on it? Has anyone noticed this? Every product has "relief" written on it, and they barely work! Why is it that you can eat 100 oranges to help cure a cold and not die or you can take 100 cold and sinus drugs (which are SUPPOSE to help you) and you would die? Do you see what I'm saying?

This synthetic medicine can kill you if you take to much, but nothing organic will ever kill you if you take a lot of it.

For instance, when I was 15, I had a tumour in my left testicle which wasn't cancer. But the only way to see if it WAS cancer, was to cut my testicle out. The tumour was gone after that, but so was my testicle! Thousands of years of studying medicine, and this is what we've come to?

It seems that the people who make medicine are not concerned with curing illness of any kind. If they do that, theyll lose money, since their "relief" drugs arent useful anymore. Does anyone feel this way? Please share.

By the way, what I was saying about my testicle being cut out, is I'm wondering is there not a better alternative to cancer treatments? It can't be proved, but people say that EVERYTHING can be cured with things like herbs and roots. Why do we not use those instead? Are these people who produce medicine that greedy?

It may appear like that many times, as it is a business and you will find salesmanship, profit-oriented companies and all that. But it is not 100% true.
Take your case, it was possible to take a small biopsy and if it showed a benign growth, (missing the malignancy hidden in other part of the tumor) they would have removed only the tumor, leaving remaining testis with potential to grow malignant inside. Afterwards when this would have flared up with secondaries allover, how would you have felt? Many times it is a tough decision to sacrifice an organ rather than risking the life of the patients.
All I want to say is that please don't generalize. Like all good things, medical science has its bad aspects as well. That's all.

Next, 'relief' & 'cure' are not significant in the sense that body has the capacity to heal itself. Antibiotics may eradicate infection and may help in getting a 'cure' but still, body's defense mechanism has its role to play. So not only the symptomatic treatment, but even antibiotics just 'help in cure' they are not curative themselves. But, even the symptomatic 'relief' provided by, say, painrelievers, is very important. Whatever, the medical science is very useful and for a few shortcomings it can not be condemned as a whole.

Rattlesnake venom is 100% organic, and it'll kill you. And you don't need a lot of it to do so. So will a whole list of other "natural" products.

Vitamin C has been shown to NOT cure colds, no matter what Linus Pauling claimed.

You're venting and ranting because you lost a prune. I'm sorry that happened, but that sounds like a case of "Better safe than sorry". If your child had severe abdominal pain, and your doctor recommended removing her appendix, would you tell him to go ahead, or treat the girl yourself with pyramids, holistic energy, and witch hazel?

I think that medical sciences and treatments ARE useful. I'm alive because of some of those treatments. My wife has a much improved quality of life because of medical treatments. You probably will benefit from them too at some point in your life. It's just a matter of time until that takes place. Maybe you'll change your mind then.
