I liked waterpolo
but I always
wanted to
be a synchronised swimmer

Upside down
twirling my legs
in the air
is not easy for a beginner

but I got in the pool
and I practiced
my drills
and I pinched
my nose
but I looked like a fool

How can I
do it
win it
not screw it
why can't men do it?

Right from the beginning
this synchronised swimming
is really just bringing
me pain
from the grinning.

How do they do it?
muscles twisted
expressions vivid
oxegen depleted
this one piece
is squashing
my jewels.

the idea of synchronized swimming came from the old movies in the 1950 that featured Esther Williams who probably would have been an exceptional Olympian had it not been for WWII.

However Germany had something similar called floating competitions long before, They kind of looked like sky-diving exhibitions but just in the pool. Add all of that together with the grace of Ballet and Bingo Synchronized swimming.

Guys just wanna be down at the observation window just below water level.

You know what? I'd love to see a Men's synchronized swim team?

Are you all gonna wear the Darth Cheney masks instead of the swimcaps?

Let's see, the ideal team would have
Darth Cheney (with the mask, of course)
Run James Run
Icy Gazpacho
Jack (when he comes down from his sinus med high)
Bonsai Bobby (with that awesome hairdo of his, bummer, he'd have to cover it up)
Uncle (our lovable gorrilla whose name escapes me at the moment)

My liberated female self who is secure in her femininity is very excited at the EEOC possibilities!!

I also wondered why too it would be a cool sport, if you have a team happening or looking for guys to start one for training I'd give it a go.
