Stationed in Japan, Japan is getting it first. Should i wait to buy US version or will that version work with my PS3?

It had better work, the second that controller is released in Japan, I'm importing one to the US for my own PS3. :)

I run euroversion of sixaxis on american PS3 without any problems, because bluetooth is standard all over the world.

Easy answer you schmexy beast, of course your Japanese Dual Shocks should work with your American PS3...But enough about electronics, call me sometime?

Yes, it will work.

You can also connect your old DualShock 2 controllers via a USB adapter - they work well (but with no sixaxis motion detection, obviously).
