There really aren't any paradoxical characteristics.
Faith is just belief in something without any evidence. It is, therefore, emotionally driven instead of rationally driven. So, your particular faiths have little chance of aligning with reality to varying degrees.
Religious faith is belief in a god without any evidence of such. Since there are no gods, this is totally against reality. If you look at the arguments for religion, you'll see that they are primary emotional hooks with very little to back any actual claims.
Now, sometimes people have faith in paradoxical things, but faith, itself, is just belief with emotional motivation.

1. God tortures people by means of a torture chamber called hell.
2. God watches you...all 6.1 Billion of you...at the same time.
3. God loves you so much that he sent his son to die for your sins. Believe this or I, God, will torture you for eternity.
4. It takes a baptism at birth, one in adulthood, and a public confession of faith to get started. Next, there's trials and tribulations and truths that will disprove I am a sadistic torture monger. Don't listen to these. I was only mad. I really love you. I will torture you.
5. One day the 4 horses with riders will fly out of the clouds and attack the people of the planet by various means.
6. There is a bad guy named Satan that wants to trick you and kill you so you can go get tortured with him by the loving guy.
