Cheney and Bush are talking about it. Would we need to reinstate the draft? I'm hoping that Congress will stand in their way and prevent another mistake. Condi Rice is supposed to negotiate and be our diplomat, but diplomacy doesn't satisfy the "Decider".

Hate Bush? No, but I hate what he has done to our country, and what he still has time to do before he loses is job. Americans have never been so divided, and why anybody with a modicum of intellect continues to follow the man is just baffling! Bush is just mentally bereft and his "leadership" has led us down a path of poor planning and monumental mistakes. How can anyone defend a record that has over 70% of Americans unhappy with his administration?

We have no business in Iran. The US has been causing chaos in that country since the 50's with the over throw of their legally elected governmentand installing the Shah. Then we also backed Saddam in his war with Iran with monetary and military aid. That is why we are hated in that country. No, We do not have enough military to fight another war.

Remember the big military drawdown in the early 90's. Well, its all coming back to bite them now. We barely have enough to cover what is happening now. However, war with Iran is a totally different subject than Iraq. Iran is a major threat to the U.S. and the rest of the world. The Iran situation is already coming to the point where negotiations are worthless. You can't negotiate with a dictator that is dead set on starting a war. Do your homework, Iran is setting the world up so there is no choice but war. The decider is Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad!

When did any of these people you mention start caring about what the outcome would be about anything they did?
All this administration is doing is putting money and their and their friend's pockets. Why, so when they finish destroying the country with the war games they're playing, they will all be set for generations to come. How about that $5 Billion in CASH. that was "sent" to Iraq. Not one dollar is accounted for, not one! Do you really think that little guy Paul gave that money to anyone other than bush, cheney, rice and rumsfield? Oh yeah, he took some for himself too.

What is with all of the people who think that we would invade Iran in the first place?
Is anybody even aware of the current administrations strategy towards Iran? Has any of you even noticed that these Iran 'war scares' are coming form people who have no clue as to what they are talking about?
I can imagine your though processes: "Hey, they have been wrong every time the opened their mouths for the last 30 years - lets believe them this time!"

You said that Condi Rice is our diplomat and negotiator. A wise man once said that "war is an extension of diplomacy".
I've seen your questions and answers, you hate Bush and don't care to know the truth.
You don't seem to understand the use of force. If the U.S. goes to war with Iran it won't be with boots on the ground. The military is far more flexible than you know. Air strikes, cruise missiles, and special ops will probably be used to pull Irans fangs by knocking down their Air Force, their submarines, and their missiles. We remove the means by which Iran could be offensive.

In case you missed it, the war in Iraq is succeeding. Iran is going to be dealt with next although probably not with the same way. There is a large anti-government movement in Iran already that is just itching to act. As President Bush defined it, the Axis of Evil, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and North Korea are being dealt with.
Below is an interesting article for your enjoyment.

We wont have enough troops. We need up to 500,000 people on the ground just to defeat Iran. Plus we need more than 200,000 in Iraq in case the Shiities rebel and we need at least 100,000 in Afghanistan in case Iran invades or really really helps the Taliban. We dont have enough

Invading iran now would be fundamentally wrong, on so many levels. If that idiot in the White house were to do something like that and it there were not riots in the in streets in protest as a result, then I'll know that this is no longer the country I grew up in. If such an extreme action is not enough to get people up off their fat asses and take action then nothing will.

Yes we do. We could smash their military with air power and and invade in. The issue would be in occupation. We would end up just like we are in Iraq.
Best bet would be to covertly start supporting opposition groups and parties inside Iran. Just do it so they do not know that it is the US supplying them with donations.
