Yes I would, I love going barefoot anywhere possible, day or night be it a quick trip or long trip.

I've gone barefoot to every supermarket, grocery store, and every other store or business I've visited in well over ten years. It is not dangerous or gross; feet get very tough very quickly, our skin is made to keep pathogens out, and feet are fully washable.
Injuries are unlikely; in all the time I've been barefoot, indoors and outdoors, walking and running (I'm often at a run at litter-covered train stations) I have NEVER had a cut. I get a tiny splinter maybe once a year, and have never had even the smallest splinter indoors. Thorns and such aren't a problem either. I wouldn't have believed how tough my feet would be before I started to go barefoot either, but they are.
Hookworm has been pretty much eradicated from the South since modern plumbing has replaced the outhouses, and never was much of a problem in cooler climates. Worms could still be of some concern in tropical countries where restrooms are few and far between, but in the US and Europe this isn't a serious risk, perhaps in a back alley in a neighborhood with lots of bars but not in a store!
The germs won't hurt; unless I put my feet up on the dinner table or lick my toes, any dirt picked up will sit there until I wash it off. Also it's not unsanitary for anyone else; germs don't jump and they're no more likely to get onto the food from the skin of a bare foot than from the sole of a shoe or from the exposed skin of a sandalled foot (or any other bare skin at floor level).
And in spite of persistent myths, it is not against Health Department rules to go barefoot in stores and restaurants, and insurance companies don't require or even recommend footwear for customers. Only in the US are these anti-barefoot biases commonly believed; here in the Netherlands I've never even SEEN a 'no shoes, no shirts, no service' sign, nor on my trips to Belgium & Scotland. Whatever anyone is wearing or not wearing on their feet is a non-issue with management and other customers, as it should be.

I would not and I am embarrassed to admit that when I see someone barefoot in the store, I am completely grossed out and I immediately pass judgment on that person’s class status.
I know that sounds horrible and indeed it is horrible and I completely admit that and I am ashamed of my gut reaction. It just goes to show how we can all be socially programmed to think or believe in a certain way. I always try to correct myself internally, but my initial thought when I see that is “redneck” or “trailer trash”.
I don’t really see a problem with people doing it. I just have an instinct to be mean and judgmental. I do, however, think that it might be a little dangerous. What if you step on glass or a lit cigarette butt that someone threw out?

No, I rarely am barefoot outside unless I'm at a pool. I wouldn't want to expose my feet to the many things I could step on or in on the sidewalk, in a parking lot, and in a convenience store. Plus, most of them have a "no shirt, no shoes, no service policy".

NO! The floors aren't clean enough from all the shoes that tromp across there and going barefoot into the store is only an invitation for germs, fungus etc to get on your foot.

I don't walk to check my mail barefoot. I am the biggest wimp when it comes to walking barefoot...can't even walk in the grass barefoot.

Ok, dude, every aspect of my life is bare foot. I don't like shoes. Only wear them if I have to.

why not! I have been known to run in the gas station without a bra so why worry about barefeet.
