It all started on the darkest night of my life - the night I was going to kill myself - when overcome by my depression and despair and worthlessness....

In a very real and very powerful way - the Holy Spirit of GOD entered my heart and convinced me beyond any shadow of any doubt that HE is alive and real; and most importantly, that HE cares about me.

This Spirit told me some things I couldn't believe - fearing voices in my head was just another sign of insanity - but had finally instructed me "if you don't believe me, go look it up for yourself" as I saw this dusty old book on a shelf in the room. And I picked up this book, opened it up "totally at random" not knowing what to expect - scared and excited at the same time - when my eyes drifted down the page and landed on this verse that forever changed my life:

"Do not be afraid for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - ISAIAH 41:10

That was how my walk of faith started - in March 1998 - and you know GOD has never revealed HIMSELF to me in such a very real personal intense way again.

But HE doesn't have to anymore either!

Ironically, in a Religion 101 class in a Christian college.

I was brought up a Christian and went to church and sunday school every week with my parents. But as a logical child, I used to drive my sunday school teachers crazy with my questions. This class in college taught me to approach my faith in a practical and intellectual way. I don't want to follow a religion blindly, so learning about it in an intellectual way helped me understand so much more about Christianity. Faith is so much stronger with the backing of intellect and information!

Very, VERY slowly. I spent eighteen years in doubt, followed by two years of rationalizations, and finally became a Christian less than a year ago.

I'm not someone who can walk by faith only. I needed to believe in my head, AND my heart, rather than just my heart.

I spent most of my life looking for God. Well, He finally found me.
