Gateway computer w/windows 98?

Question

I just completed a move to a different household, I plugged everything in and went to boot up, and the system tells me......no operating system found, what do I do to get my windows 98 to boot up..........
There was no battery backup in it's location and the power was off for 24 hours.......

Thanks, turns out that the teenager removed the completely removed the hard drive right out of the cabinet, I didn't even look until yesterday.....and yep, it's gone........nice

Make sure there is not a floppy disk in the drive. If that's not it, your hard drive may have been damaged in the move.
