Well it really depends on the woman..is she earthy? or is she materialistic?? or maybe a mix of both...? But for me, I would want something I could never ever forget the details of when i was 90yrs old! Something amazing and something that took alot of thought. ie: a weekend away in a romantic setting..beachy is always good! take a yaht day trip, nice food, ring in champaigne glass or tied to the dessert spoon or holding the serviette..a beautiful sunset if possible and amazing true words from the heart. You could take a balloon ride or go to a beach and write "WILL YOU MARRY ME" in the sand b4 u both go down for a picnic and splash in the water. If you have lots of money to throw around..the ideas could get bigger and much better! lol

In bed (if that's the way you are together), first thing on a lazy Sunday morning would be perfect. Just think - absolutely no glitz or glamour, just the two of you, both as you are. How special would she feel to know how much love her, even (or especially) when her hair is all messy, she's got her compfy pj's on and doesn't have her face painted in make-up or is wearing a dress that she has to suck in her tummy to look good in.
And then you can take her out to breakfast, if she says yes! Or just stay under the covers all day :)

I'd say make it a complete surprise and something she completely wouldn't expect you to do. Not as a suggestion - but as an example - my ex proposed by walking into my place of work dressed as a monkey (my favourite animal) - it was sweet as I never expected anything of the sort, and that he was willing to make an idiot of himself to show how much he loved me. But then on the other hand, my hubby to be proposed in a completely different way - took me out to dinner at our favourite restaurant and was clearly very nervous, kept feeling his pocket and it was obvious to me that he was going to propose and the fact that he was so nervous showed he really cared about my answer :o)

Cook her favourite meal. Get a nice bottle of wine or two. Have a nice romantic night just the two of you. Dont propose in a restaurant in front of a room full of people, it should be between the two of you ! Have her favourite song playing in the background and do the whole bended down on one knee. Old fashioned but gotta be done.
Good luck.

Just try to be romantic, but without getting cheesy by making some of those Hollywood-like proposals - it looks really fake.

Being totally surprised worked quite well for me! Which means it had to be spur of the moment for him and no one we knew present as I'm just too good at figuring things out.
By the way, he proposed on stage at a comedy club after I had just finished a week from hell at work.

What does she like to do? Any hobbies? This wasn't for a proposal or anything but when I gave my husband a TAG watch for no reason...I just wanted to surprise him with something nice since he had done so much work around the house...etc...I put it on the end of one of his fishing rods...I was like...honey, come out here...is one of your rods missing? There's an empty holder...he came in the garage and before he could even freak out about the missing rod, he turned around and had it in my hand with the watch on the end of it. To get me back...he didn't say anything about the watch...he just laughed at me because I didn't tie the hook on right. LOL. But he was very surprised...and love the watch that he had his eye on for so long. Hope that gives you some sort of an idea.

some of these people on her can be so rude... you want a girls point of view... whats so bad about that....
i saw this movie once and these 2 people were in love and he wanted to surprise her so while she was sleeping he slipped the ring on her finger. In the morning when she woke up and went to wash her face and brush her teeth it just caught her eye and when she turned around he was on his one knee with roses... After that... I wanted to be proposed to that way... I wasnt but my guy still did his thing... And his proposal made my heart burst just as much....

A restrant and a red rose would do it for me -sniffles pathetically-
Of course talior it to her if she gets embaresed easily or is shy you may want to set out a romatic dinner at home and propose there so she doesn't feel everyone is watching her.
