hi. i have a friend who is an active teenager in early puberty. he started having dandruff like 3 months ago. at first it was ok but now he has an urge to scratch my head and when he bathe, his head will feel like its got a wound on it and it stings like mad. can somone help him please?

Dandruff is one of the major disorders of the scalp.Poor hygiene, improper diet ,sluggish condition of the scalp caused by poor blood circulation are the main causes of dandruff. A herbal rinse is a safe method of removing dandruff. Apply lemon juice with the rind on the scalp .After 5 minutes wash off with shampoo and water. Use head and shoulders, there are many different kinds. He could pick the best one for him. If that doesnt help maybe the doctor could prescribe something cause it could just be more than regular dandruff.

What your friend is suffering from is not the normal kind of dandruff . . . these shampoos will do little trust me . . . if his head feels wounded and if he has patches on his head i suggest he goes to the doc!
and i mean a dermatologist not the regular general physician.

If over the counter shampoos for dandruff don't do the trick, see a doctor for some prescription shampoo or other topical treatments that will cure it.

He should take some Omega 3 oil. Either flax seed oil capsules or fish oil capsules. They provide essential fatty acids which are well known to cure dandruff.

Nizoral you can get it on prescription or buy in chemist hope this helps. It might take a few applications but it definetly works.
