My fave saying is "YOU WOULDN'T WORRY SO MUCH ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THOUGHT OF YOU.. IF YOU KNEW HOW LITTLE THEY DID! cos the rest of us really dont care.!!!!
Opinions and beliefs are like arseholles. Everyone has one. Some just are uglier and smell a bit more. We are entitled to our own opinion of course.....that is only, if you can find someone that wants to listen...I DON'T.
Apparently MY opinion is the stinkiest of all (check thumbs down). I believe there is no god. I believe we evolved. End of story. Other than politics, there is nothing that makes me angrier than being quoted lines from the bible... being compared and condemned to hell for disbelieving. My mum is born again and used to do it to me all the time for no reason. It makes me want to SCREAM! . How dare they attack ME, with 'their' baggage....I find religious people highly offensive..(the vocal pushy, ones that is) In my personal experience the majority of them have been totally dishonest fkrs anyway. ....Go on...violate me.....its only 10 points! and youll just confirm everything ive just said.
Besides if you are so confident theres a god and you are right, why do you all continually defend and argue the point? The devil is far more believable to me... at least he actually turns up to work everyday!..

Some religions discourage the questioning attitude in regard to the soundness of their teachings,
Never embrace a doctrine when evidence stands against it, nor should one follow a principle without evidence.
If God wants a person to believe in a principle, He should make it clear and evident. He is the Most Fair and Just. He knows that belief is not a voluntary thing;
Our human knowledge comes from direct or indirect evidence, and it does not follow our own whim and will,
An acceptable religious belief must be based on knowledge,
When or if God wants me to know something, He should make such a knowledge possible by making its evidence available,
Should He demand from me to believe something while evidence is standing against it,
He would be asking me to do the impossible. This contradicts His justice.
Inherited religious principles should be examined.
Every adult should examine the religion which he inherited.
Inherited religion, like any other religion, is subject to proof.
When a person is not committed to any religion and doubts the whole religious concept, he should not be satisfied with his doubt.
There may be many accessible facts in the doubted area; therefore, he has to try to find them.
When he conducts his research and exhausts all his means and fails to find the truth,
he would be excused in the eyes of God. God asks the individual only to do what is possible for him to do.
When you conduct a religious research, let no one make decisions for you. Do not rely on the judgement of any other person, even if he is sincere and highly intellectual.

As a Baha'i, I have found a gold mine, and there's plenty to go around. I want to show people this gold and offer it to them, at least offer an opportunity to examine the quality of it. However, if a person doesn't want it, that is their choice and right, and I will respect it and never force the issue. However, I don't think I should be shot for offering the gold. I have no vested interest in anyone accepting Baha'u'llah's teachings. I don't get any stamps, money, or anything if someone does. Such choices are very personal. What's the use of someone accepting a belief out of guilt or fear? I hate that! I would hope that we can discuss your point of view and my point of view in a spirit of mutual respect and love of learning. Having some fun and laughs would make it even better.

You may think it is odd for non believers not to believe in god, but that is just because you probably have been taught from an early age about god. If you really think about it, If someone where to come up to you for the first time and tell you about the bible when you where 18, there is no way you would believe. This and the lack of evidence.

I'm an Atheist for the simple reason: There is no scientific evidence to suggest the existence of a higher power.
I'm not here to prove any religion wrong, but I will express my opinion and when people post nonsense, I will call it nonsense.
I'm also fair. As much as I disagree with many religious views stated on this forum, there are times when I disagree with some of my fellow Atheist views.
There are those who seem to genuinely respect the views of others and as far as I am concerned, there is absolutely nothing wrong in their beliefs and I respect them for their personal faith.
I give the amount of respect, I'm given.

Personally, I think that there is too much of the threat that your going to hell if you do not believe and give your soul to God.
But, if jesus died on the cross for my sins isn't that why they always tell you at a funeral that they are gone to a better place?
Personally like lots of beliefs I have no problem with you are legally entitled to your beliefs. But, I didn't serve in the Military so you could force your beliefs of any kind on me if I do not want them.
I find no comfort in all the ailments I have and people telling me that God will only give me what I can handle as if I have a choice of handling them. They are here and I have no where to go and hide from them.
For those who do believe bless your heart we all need to believe in something, I believe that when I die they will pray for me and I will be dead.

I am a non believer, and the reason why I don't believe that God doesn't exist is that it can not be scientifically exist and that conceptually there are many flaws in this story of "God", for instance the idea of God creating the universe the way it is explained in the bible is disproved by Darwin theory of Evolution. The reason I think that believers want us to believe is to convince themselves that there is a "God", believers cannot grasp the concept of death as it is very hard to imagine....

Hi,
When I ask someone to believe that there is one God who created this life and who has no son or wife, I never do it to prove someone else is wrong and I am right. Because if I prove someone wrong and I am right for the sake of arguement only that doesnt really do me any good.
I want to help save people and help make them live a better more decent life. In this life and in the afterlife.
I just try to deliver the message, prove my point, and remove any false accusations that people throw on what I believe and ask people to believe in.
Here is where I stop once after I make my point...I never enjoy proving someone wrong because it is not a pleasant feeling. I just lay down my message and let who ever I'm talking to decide weither to believe or not.
For example I come to someone like you. I say there are signs and there are messages saying that there is only one God, he was never human and never will be, he never had a son, he is never weak, he is very kind and generous and the most forgiving forgiving. He gave us a book that no one could come up with something like it. Not even one letter was altered during the 1400 years it was there. It is only one book and it doesnt have any contradictions like the bible. All you have to do is believe in him, pray to him,and treat people right, fairly, equally, and kindly in this life. You do that you are greatly rewarded in the after life with heaven if you dont you have to face the penalty of not believing in who created you although he created you for this purpose and tested you in this life. If you have any doubts in what I say..you could state them and I will prove my points and discuss with you what. I mean..God gave you a mind of your own and obviously you are a clever person so I don't have any influence on you unless you choose to. So in the end I gave you my offer you can take it or leave it its your choice. I will not benifit anything or feel any satisfaction in proving you wrong somehow. (although there are people who enjoy that..and this is not acceptable to me)
Sometimes it just happens that a discussion ends in the with who proves his/her point right for the sake of arguement and pride only. I believe pride without a reason is a sin and I think these types of arguements are infertile and have a dead end.
I hope I didnt loose you somewhere in my lines because I know I wrote alot lol
Peace

Well, I am a Christian, so I guess I'll answer the first set.
In all truth, I would say that at least to an extent it's all of the above. However, if a person tells me they're not interested in the least bit, I leave it alone, and just pray for them. Most of my friends are not Christians, and my husband is a non-religious theist (believes in God, doesn't know which one). My mother-in-law is a hard atheist. She doesn't care if there's proof/evidence for God or not.
