If a person has unquestioningly accepted something as true, we could say it might be a delusion. However, if a person has tested the beliefs before those beliefs are accepted and before they have become their beliefs, would you call them delusions? For example, a fundamental teaching of my religion is that we must independently investigate reality. I have found this belief to serve me well. There is no apparent reason to believe independent investigation is a delusion to answer the unanswerable although there are some things which may be unanswerable. Those things would be unanswerable for us all however.

It's a possibility.

For one; I believe that there may be some truth but a lot of it could well be hidden from us all. We all know religion is a comfort and as there are so many of them that only so few can actually date back and contain what really happens.

Earth is universal and different people have different ideas. Personally my religious values are personal freedom & forgiveness - something you're not going to find in many religions (even Christianity).

no, once you've decided on what the answers are, no more questions will you ask, and for some no actual facts will you recieve. thus limiting you to false beliefs when actual facts are waiting to be discovered.

imagine if everyone just dropped everything that cant be proven and searched for actual proof instead. if everyone admitted that they dont know how the earth or humans came to be and everyone started thinking and searching for true answers, think of how much faster we could prove it and evolve, how much of a better civilization we could become..... you may say im a dreamer but im not the only one lol.

No, I don't think so. They're not delusions unless they've been proven false, and the person still holds the beliefs.

I think so yes.

Or even better, someone once said:

"Religion is a magical device for turning unanswerable questions into unquestionable answers"
