I won't go into details, but for those of you who know what I'm talking about, can you at least say yes or no about whether she is actually a woman who is dying of lung cancer. I would like to stop worrying and praying for someone who is only in the imagination of some guy. For those of you who have been worrying for Gnostic like I have, if you want to know what I have found out, go to her 360 page, read the comments left by other users and then follow the links of those users and read the comments on their pages. I am really hoping that this isn't true.

Thank you so much for the info, Pangel. This is disappointing for me too. My son walked in when I was reading about Gnostic's cancer last week and he got very upset and cried. This is all very eye opening for me, and hopefully I can turn this into a learning experience for both my son and myself. I'm going to keep this question open for as long as possible, so that if anyone finds out anything else they can add it to their answers. I'm still holding out hope that it's not true, though.

Thanks for the heads up. Well, at least now we know the truth (hopefully). Unfortunately, I have lost my respect for this individual, since I value honesty in a person over just about anything else. Gnostic is a very gifted person who has much to offer, so that means that many people are going to want to give him another chance and hope that he will be honest from now on. Not so for me. A few lies I could pardon, but THAT MANY lies coupled with the traumatic way he chose to end the deception, suggests a chronic personality disorder that is unlikely to change, even if given a life time of second chances (unless he chooses to get psychological help).

I agree with you, but it must have taken guts for him to even write what he did. I can't help but admire him for that, yet is it still not enough. I do intend to forgive him once I have had time to wrap my mind around all of this, but I am very unlikely to forget.

Update: I have removed Gnostic from my contacts and blocked him/her/it from my fans list, so if you are wanting to get to his/her/its 360 page, you may want to try seeing if someone else has him/her/it as a contact. umm...not much of an explanation really.
"a fiction that became real" i guess that pretty much says it except why the whole cancer thing? if they wanted to just kill gnostic off why not just delete the account?
it's very sad. there were a lot of people upset on their behalf. i for one would like a little more in the way of an explanation.

Personally, what I read sounds like internet drama. Like life isn't a pain in the butt as it is, people actually have to go around making things up? If Gnostic is really just a man playing around, it's pretty sick and twisted to say that "she's" dying from cancer. If it really is true, I really hope she gets better.
