me and my friend were playin pool and we both finished out sets so there was only the white ball and 8 ball on the table and he pocketed the black ball but the white ball followed. who wins in this situation me or my friend?

if they sink the white off the black, they lose even though they sunk the black

If you scratch(sink) the que ball (white ball) while trying to get the 8-ball (black ball) into a pocket(pot), than you automatically lose the game, no questions asked.
