That's Buddhism I think. Buddha says not to believe in anything he says until you've critically analysed it and realise it as truth on your own.
There is no compulsion because the karmic law works independent of one's will, faith or believe. One does not get born as lesser being just because one does not "believe" in Buddhism, but rather because of what one did in one's previous life (more bad things than good).
The Bible does mention that there is no compulsion, but in a different context, in that God wants the human race to be thinking sentient beings. He will not "force" us to accept Him. So it is up to one's independent judgement whether to accept Him or otherwise.
But there is compulsion in the sense that there is a dichotomy between reward and severe punishment depending on one's choice between believing in God (and not only that, the integral component is the believe in salvation through acceptance of Jesus Christ).

LoL @ the Muslim trying to quote Luke. Let's take a look at the context of Luke 19, starting at verse 12
[12] He (Jesus) said therefore, A certain nobleman (NOT Jesus) went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return...
Jesus was quoting the nobleman in 19:27, not telling anyone to kill. This is the problem with Islamic websites and the things they teach at the mosques about Christianity. Poor innocent misinformed Muslims are taught that these are the words of Jesus, and not Jesus quoting someone in a story.

If the Bible comands us to LOVE OUR ENEMIES, then I dont see the need to say that there is no compulsion in religion.. That's the beauty of Christ, that one can only get to Him by faith, this means by heart, no one can ever obly you to believe..

St. John Chrysostom: “I know that many people hold a high regard for the Jews and consider their way of life worthy of respect at the present time... This is why I am hurrying to pull up this fatal notion by the roots ...When animals are unfit for work, they are marked for slaughter, and this is the very thing which the Jews have experienced. By making themselves unfit for work, they have become ready for slaughter. This is why Christ said: “as for my enemies, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them and SLAY them before me’ (Luke 19.27).”

No, it says to pray without ceasing, it's best not to divide your interests by marrying, and stay away from people who don't think like you. Sounds like a cult to me.

No - it doesn't say that - but there is a lot of strong advice with dire warnings.
