I preferred to think gays and homosexuals alike have brains that are wired differently than ours. I still can't bring myself to call them "normal people". Religiously, and philosophically, being gay just does not cut it. Yet, logics and human specie's survival could benefit on homosexuality.
If you think that your friend being gay is just a phase, you can try to guide him/her. If he truly believes he/she is gay, you can only accept him/her if you still want to be a friend..

p.s. By the way, American Psychological Association & American Psychiatric Association have stopped listing Homosexuality as a mental disorder since 1973.

Even if being gay was a disease which it isnt (look up all the diseases homosexuality isnt there) if there was a cure everyone would know about it it would be as big as if there was a cure for AIDS or somethin. So basically you dont know it cause it doesent exist and never will...they arent looking for a cure for Gayness.......

Psychiatry used to consider homosexuality a disease, but that was a long time ago. The modern view is that it isn't a disease; certainly no one has found a "cure" for it that I'm aware of.

Homosexuality isn't a disease it's a lifestyle, but I guess if you're looking for a cure; try a week of monster truck rallys, drinking non-fruited drinks, and a night with Jessica Alba should turn the gayest man straight!

psycho therapy may help however the problem has got to epidemic stage where as the people have started to think that gay is ok and nott a disease and that its ok to be gay i firmly believe the world has under gone a terrible chemical change that has caused this to occur
with things the way they are today it would be hard to find a dr or any health care person that would treat anyonne for this ailment they just say your gay thats it
i guess i am saying i believe it is or should be treatable but have nt a clue as to where to send you because there arent any organizations that i know of that working this program

What there is no cure. He does not have a disease. If u were really his friend then u would love him no matter what.

Though considered an illness in many archaic or repressive cultures, homosexuality, or begin gay, is not currently considered a disease, at least in most modern educated societies. By the tone and the way your question is framed, I think there are probably other issues that you rather not discuss.

Your friend has no disease.
Homosexuality is not a disease, it is a sexual preference that cannot be changed.
Homosexuality is not infectious, nor is it contagious. I happen to like dogs - my friend prefers cats. Perhaps my friend has a disease that makes them like cats? No?
