Is it alright for my cat to eat Spackle?

I put a hole in the wall and patch`d it with some Spackle and my cat keeps jumping up and licking it. (no joke)

Hi there...spackle could possibly solidify in your cat intestinal tract causing blockage so ideally it would be best to secure the area as best as possible until the paste dries thoroughly.

kids eat paste, cats like spackle.

tape foil to that spot and keep it there for a while to deter the cat.

Let me put it this way: would YOU eat it? I wouldn't, and I probably wouldn't let my cat do it either.
