I've just started. I can swim a few strokes, then get confused & flounder. Hands, legs, stomach muscles, breathing - too much to think about!
I think I shall enjoy it, once I'm a bit more familiar with everything. I'm enjoying the progress I'm making.

Do you mean competivly or for fun? Because the two are completly different. I have been swimming for six years on a very competitive team. I still enjoy it but not as much. I just moved up a level and my practice went from 5 a week to 9 a week. It was a very tough adjustment. I am still trying to convince myself I still enjoy it, because I do just not at the moment.

If you mean competitively, I have been doing that for the last 17 years. Although I first learned to swim when I was 2 and have been swimming for pleasure for 22 years then. Yes, I still love it, although its an evolved love. When you are a child there is a different sense of why you love to swim. As you grow older you begin to appreciate and love the different aspects and characteristics of it. Its like a a relationship--honeymoon phase to long term marriage. There is always love, it just evolves. And I still haven't caught the dang black line! (I always said when I finally 'caught' the black line, I would quit.)

I've been swimming for fitness since 2000 and still enjoy it. I'm now looking to join a Master's Swim Team to continue improving my technique and meet people with a similar interest.

For twenty years every vacation. In the beach, I'm still quite enjoying it but not as much as how I enjoyed it on my first beach swimming. But in swimming pool, 20 years is no longer enjoyable.

I have been swimming since I can rember (about 3) Im now 45 and still love the sensation of swimming underwater its the nearest thing to zero gravity. Also it works muscles that you dont often use so its very good for you.
