There are programs. Go to the education center on post and inquire. None of them will pay 100%

Under certain circumstances, he can transfer his GI Bill to you, however there are a lot of stipulations to enter the program including: Has to have completed 6 years, must reenlist for at least 4 years, etc. Check out this link if you're interested:

Also, a $1000 scholarship is available here:

If you're interested in teaching, there is a program that will help guide you and pay:

A huge benefit is that a lot of colleges will consider you an IN-STATE resident if you are stationed at a base away from your hometown. This is a HUGE benefit, and can literally save you tens of thousands of dollars! Talk to a veteran's affairs person at any school you're considering.

Of course, your installation's education center is your best friend. The workers there know every option and can help you get started. Hope this helped!

Contact your base Educational Services Officer. Also contact your Family Services Center. If there is an Air Force Base nearby they probably have the best facilities and the most staff. Contact your local job center and ask to speak with their vet rep. Contact the base Enlisted Wives Club or Officers Wives Club.

Finally contact local vet organizations such as VFW, American Legion and such. It's out there you just need to turn over the correct rock.

no. we are on our own. FAFSA and scholarships.. some of which are available on base through the Spouses' Clubs and the Commissary.

The American red Cross used to have a program where they would put you through Dental Tech school if you volunteered x number of hours. Not sure if they still do that, and I only actually saw it offered OCONUS.

I did see some scholarships that were for military wives - check with militaryonesource they can give you more info on anything you want to know under the sun. Also talk with the college - they could have grants and scholorships that you can get just like evereyone else.
