Like it or not, Champagne, we are primates. And yes, I have read genesis, probably 40 years ago was the first time.

To pushfrog_2000: please stop answering questions with questions. If you don't want to contribute anything useful to the conversation then don't say anything.

Remember: be funny, be informative, or be quiet.

Anyway, I think this is a very good question. I am excited to see the answers. I think a lot of the reason why they do not like the idea is because it suggests two things: god did not create us in his image (a substantial Christian dogma), and that we were once animals who could be viewed as sub-human. Both premises would be insulting to those who believe the corresponding dogma of Christianity.

Go ahead and read Genesis. When you are done then come back and let us know what you have learned. The only way to tell you is to allow you to learn all on your own.

Read it then come back and let us know what you have learned. Until then you will not possess accurate knowledge and will continue to ask "these type" questions that you should already know the answer to. You teenagers just need to do your own personal study.

It is an insult to the pure creativeness of God and demeaning to Mankind, if we look at life on Earth we can see that God created life in various stages starting from the primitive to the highly intelligent,we go from plants to animals and at the highest level is man, and God gave man dominion over all other life forms, God did not and does not create havoc there is an order in His work and we are just a step down from the highest created life of all....the Angels.
