my bf and i have been together for 8 months now, but we've also been together once before (a couple of years ago). when we were together before, we were 14 and we did say stuff like i'll love you forever - which scared neither of us.
now we're both 19. and i still feel this way: eventhough we may not be together for ever (but i hope we will) i know that i will always love him...
is this ok to say in an "adult" relationship? he didn't mind it before... but i don't want to make him feel like i'm obliging him to say it back or to spend the rest of his life with me, you know.

It should always be ok to say what you feel in a relationship. If it scares the other person, then what kind of relationship is it?? whether you can see yourselves together in the long term future is irrelevant, its what you feel now that matters now.

Everyone has a special place for their first love, whether they can admit it or not. We never forget.

If you're unsure, don't say it till he does. Simple. Otherwise, if you will love him forever, let him know through your actions, and see how that works. Sometimes full blown raw words scare a person, and time is all thats needed to really know the extent of one another's love in a relationship.

you know you should be glad to think u be forever together unless u feel unsecure he will leave u . Dont do this to youself as he will only leave when he dies of old age as if he is older than u ,your be surprised becuz if u older than him. your be leaving him first. after all no one can be their other half when u differant ages and one is a male and the other is a female haha.

I think it is ok to at least say, "I feel like I'll love you forever." Maybe u 2 should discuss it more...?
See how he really feels about it.

hi.
well me and my g/f have been dating for 3 yrs. [i'm 17 and she is 16] well after all the things, emails, myspace comments, etc. we say ily forever and always.
so idk.
we don't feel weird about it
and when she says it, i know that she means it and i truly mean it so t isn't like you r oblinging him to say it back.
But i wouldn't say it unless you truly mean it.
