Cats are very fa air they treat everyone with complete disdain. You may have seen a previously pet dog abandoned and starving. I've never heard of a cat in the same state. i am a dog lover but I also greatly admire the sheer bloody minded independence of the cat

Of course cats are better than this biological abomination the textbooks call "dogs" and I call "retarded wolves". Then again, they share this superiority with, for example, gerbils, tree-frogs and tapeworms.

Concerning your question, one reason might be that you cough too much and stick your tongue at other people. Your cat might have seen that, she might have mistaken your cough for a bark and your tongue-sticking for panting, and wrongly concluded that you are a dog. Can't blame her for an attitude in this case. Fortunately, you can easily convince her otherwise by eating a large bowl of flies. Your cat will conclude that you are a tree-frog, and view you as an equal from now on.

Dogs are sociable animals who live in packs. In the home environment, you are the Alpha dog and your dog does what it's told, because it accepts that you are in charge. What's perceived as loyalty, is often the submissive behaviour of an animal who knows his place in the pecking order.

A cat's independent nature is often mistaken for aloofness. By nature cats are solo predators. They've never needed to be part of a pack in order to survive, so they haven't had to develop the same social behaviour that dogs do.

Cats do tend to have an attitude, but its all part of their little personality. I prefer to dogs.

An animal psycholo gist may be able to verify or refute my comments : I feel that a cat absorbs all the attention we give it ~it seems to demand food when its hungry.
However a dog is a very positive animal ~~always running to please us , greet us etc!
Frankly a dog may need more attention .....................but a really good dog seems mor e responsive than a cat.

I think they are smart. They don't really need anyone and when they do act as if they love you they are just buttering you up so they can get what they want.

You and Sunil have obviously never owned any cats. I'll pray for your souls since you are both so lost and angry little people.
