My guess is NO, but I'm just trying to circumvent my way out of subscribing to DISH HD.

Nobody builds a cable like that because COAX is a radio-frequency signal and HDMI is NOT...it's digital Video.

Now if you're talking about RCA connection type cables, those are ANALOG signals and HDMI is digital....

HDMI should be reserved for HDMI. Get a HD DVD player for it...
Use your component output, or RCA Composite output if you want to circumvent switching to the HD Dish reciever...
You won't get HD, but you'll get a picture...

to be honest the resoluiton as nothing to do with it a co-axial cable is capable of carrying any signal no matter what the resolutions are IT is in fact not possible because the two systems are completely different methods of transfer of signal from one device to another, without going into complicated reasons why it will not work. be assured what you ask cannot be achieved, but in this day and age someone may one day solve the problem with some form of device in the future

You are correct. NO
However, you don't need HDMI for HD.
Off-the-air Antenna can receive HD over coax (but you need a digital tuner), or you can use component outputs (but you still need an HD source).

I think there is no way to convert directly coaxial to HDMI.
you can use an external device convert several formats each other.
