I am totally attracted to and in love with the man snoring in the next room. And we are SO opposite. But our values are the same. And we share the same sense of humor....usually.

There are a number of things I am attracted to in a guy. The biggest things I think though are honesty, loyalty and being trust-worthy. My husband and I have a lot of things in common, but at the same time are total opposites on others. That can be a good thing though b/c you also want to have those time w/o your mate. Alone time or time w/ friends for instance. I think being totally alike or complete opposites, either one can work if you are willing to make it work and the person has the main traits you are looking for. Like I said, those for me were honesty, loyalty and being trust-worthy. His being a cute teddy-bear type and having a great personality don't hurt either ;)

My hubby and I have been 2gether 13 years, married 7. WE are sooo not alike..I am tall and thin, he is shorter and muscled. I love to read a book a day, he watched movies all night. I love to site quietly alone under a tree and relax, he likes to be n the middle of a party. I like the comfort of home, he loves the great outdoors...I m a no meat mama..he loves anything red and dripping....
on and on and on..
the only thing the same about us ..is we love the same way....and balance well...we both need touched, held, talked to...etc..and we respect each others differences....if I was with the same kind of person, I would spend my life experiencing the same things..by being different ..anything we do with one another..is experiencing a whole other kind of life..we wouldnt have otherwise....If i wanted someone like me..i would have stayed single and had a bunch of chick friends...but..anyway...thats me...i love the difference..and love him...my soul mate....even if he does like robocop and rambo (ughh!)
PEace to u..I hope u find love opposite of not...
just love on the same level

I am 5feet 11inches tall. I am decently built though i am skinny. I dress well and music is my thing. I'm a light technician for concerts and plays and make very good money. I seem to attract the artistic women. The majority of them are very loud and emotional. They always seem to be acting and are extremely clingy though right now i am dating the complete opposite of what i attract (shes a quite goth girl lol). The girls that i tend to attract seem to be looking for short relationship flings that are very exciting and emotional. The all seem to be artists in terms of being either actors, painters, drawers, or writers (my current girlfriend is a writer of short stories and poems)

Generally you are attracted to someone who reminds you of a pleasant experience in your past. You can speak of like interests or opposites but the matter of "chemistry" depends on subconscious memories so you don't know until you meet the other person, however briefly. It might be a relative or earlier friend or composite of these that you are reminded of ( below the conscious level ) and had a good experience with or even an experience itself. Sounds, looks and smells, especially, have a subconscious hold that is difficult to predict in advance. These memories might, of course, be either attractive or repellent.

being an athlete myself I get really attrated to guys who are tall, fit, and plays basketball I guess because I'm a basketball player myself. I just enjoy the intensity of the game and I like it when i watch someone or a team I know and go crazy!

i am usually attracted to guys who i have things in common with , and who have similar values to me. This way i feel comfortable around them and am able to be myself. I think when you understand the other person and like who they are on the inside , then you build a lasting relationship. But i agree with what your saying about ending up hating the thing you thought you liked about someone , i think that happens when the person just turns out not to be for you and maybe what you thought was love was just lust.
