Remember in America you have your Miranda Rights.
Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you.
According to the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States you have the right not to incriminate yourself.
These few things are to make the justice system favor the accused. It does not always work that way, but that is the system.
Also, remember it is all right for the police to lie to you. So keep your mouth shut. More innocent people are convicted by false confession then any other reason. Get a lawyer or ask for one.

No, at least not at this point in time .... however, when you are dealing with the cops or the prosecutors you need to get an attorney. They have no business questioning you without an attorney present and it doesn't mean whether it was "official" or not. If you were not Mirandized then your case would automatically be tossed out by a reasonable and prudent judge. You didn't share what you were being questioned about - but if you were arrested then you have started your journey down the merry lane of the criminal justice system. Get a lawyer!!!

Yes in most cases. If the perpretrtator is schiorenic for example a mental hospital makes more sense. Atlhough there is a link not all molestation victims molest kids so there is an element off free will and there are child rapists who were not abused as well. We must protect our citizens spec children from monsters by makin sure those who showed they are able willing to do this crime are not unleashed on the public again again and again and hepoefully by detering some with the urge that they will rot in a cell if they do it Way to many kids are raped and kiled by somebody whose has done this before and "reformed" I do feel that Ur more lenient is appropriate for drug users prostitutes and other petty criminals who don't actually hurt others. Our system is mess there are potheads doin 25yrs and child molesters out inn 60 days and it must be corrected

You probably want to get an attorney. You can theoretically be convicted on circumstantial evidence, so it would be very good to do everything you can to bolster your case. Get good character references, statements, and take every step you can to protect yourself.
If it comes to a jury trial it is essentially your word against whoever is accusing you--in this case the state. If you have a strong case you should be able to avoid any kind of prison sentence. But you will have to convince the jury of that.
Good luck. Talk to a lawyer and don't plead guilty if you didn't do it.

How much money are you worth....that determines whether you go to jail or not in America and more than likely it is that way around the world! All the nonsense about equal justice under the law and equality for one and all sounds great but reality and history tell a far different story and paint a far different picture. Wealthy people have good lawyers...poor people have what the bird left on the wire. Guilty or innocent went out the window along time ago....along with truth and justice!

If you can prove who was there before & after, names would help, see if they had records, and make attorney push for reasonable doubt. Have him call some of these people in, and character witnesses. The DA is gonna say what he has to to win his case. Get the people that own the stuff to drop charges or testify on your behalf.

Dude, chill. Every USA Citizen has a right of a fair trial. Plus, theres no witnesses, no evidence, and the people aren't pressing charges. You will not get arrested when the people aren't pressing any charges. Plus, the judge will never convict you since well... they have no proof besides "He was the only one there"

Prison is reserved to persons who have been convicted of a felony, such accommodations are not available for those who have only been accused.
