here are some basic tips to lose weight
try to eat less than 15% calories from fat of your total calorie intake in a day.
-You have to count calories to lose weight. If your burning 1000 calories walking 10 miles, but then that same day eating 3500 calories, you'll never see progress
.. I'd say eat like 1400 calories a day in numerous small meals. 1200 calories if you really need to lose it but try not to get any less that's very important.
-5 or 6 small meals keeps your metabolsm running all througout the day.
-Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
-Try to make sure you don't eat to many carbs at once.
-unless you really understand nutrition labels try to stay away from proccessed foods and stick with whole foods. Such as instead of eating a tv dinner buy chicken, bake it, buy the veggies and steam them and then have an orange or something natural.
-If your a big fan of meats try eating White meat of chicken and turkey. Tuna is great if you like it. This will help you get protien but stay under the 15% calories from fat
-exercise in the morning if possible, your bodys more prone to exercise when your first wake up it's ready to burn calories but later in the day it can take a bit of mental preperation to start a workout.
-If your a light exerciser like walking or very slow jogging then you can exercise as much as you want in the day, or you can choose a hardcore stamina training style like running or long distance jogging thaen give your body recovery time. A stamina building routine is better in the long run and is more time efficient so you don't spend as much time having to burn calories.
-Also the very moment you wake up eat something with complex carbs in it, because it kick starts your metabolsm and try to eat fairly soon after any exercise sessions.
Healthy weight loss is 2 lbs a week typically it can be done faster though and stilll be healthy but unless you have radical surgery or something don't expect much more than that.
also when you eat less than 1200 calories every day your body will go into "starvation mode" and instead of your body burning off stored fat it will horde that fat and get it's energy from the protien in your muscles and your muscles will dissapear and thus you will burn less and less calories everyday.

Your weight sounds fine to me, especially since you're 6'4". If you want to lose weight then you have to eat a normal healthy diet and get some exercise every day. Ride a bike, take a long walk, go swimming, play tennis .... you can be creative here. The important thing is that you are consistent. By the way, not eating rice will not help you lose weight. Rice contains vital carbohydrates which your body needs to make energy.

You do not appear to be overweight. What you may need is to eat right and exercise right. White rice is refined carbs so it is a good idea not to eat them. Take brown rice as a substitute or other good carbs including whole wheat grains, nuts, legumes, seeds, fresh fruits & vegetables, lean meat such as poultry, fish and beef. Maintain a good proportion of all the classes of food and eat regularly 5-6 times a day. Remember to take at least 8 glasses of water and EXERCISE! If your fats are mostly concentrated in the stomach and thigh, try brisk walking and jogging if you can. These are aerobic exercises or any sport activities will help you to stay fit and trim. Most people want to lose weight but do not like to exercise. You can still lose weight if you are eating right but exercising will speed up the calories/fats burning and in turn provide energy for a healthy mind and body. Good Luck! http://weightlossdietclub.com

Hi,
I am a detox specialist and I specialize in helping people lose weight. 20 lbs in 5 weeks is easy :)
The easiest and FASTEST way I know to lose weight is to detox.
I myself have lost 33 pounds within 2 mths doing a detox.
My mentor also lost 15 pounds within a week doing the detox ;)
A detox is healthy because it brings balance back to your body and losing weight is just a by product of the detox. So at the end of the detox, you will find yourself get more energetic, healthier, more radiant looking as well.
And the detox is simple. All you need to do is three things.
Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.
Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods that I take to enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.
Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out..
And that's it.
The rest is up to you.
So what do you think? ;)
If you are keen to find out more about my detox programme, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com

I lost 3 stones and went from a size 16/18 to 10/12 on the Rosemary Conley diet. I got my figure back quicker than the weight loss. It took me just over 2years to achieve this. Every time you lose a stone weight you lose a dress size. But you really have to set your mind on sticking to it. It also consists of exercise classes. This helps you to tone up the muscles when you start to lose weight. Why dont you give it a try. You have nothing to lose. Good Luck

"I dnt like exercising"
Theres your problem.
"..I need to lose 20pounds in 5weeks"
Now your just asking for a miracle.
"I ve stopped eating rice..."
Rice is actually good for you. Brown preferably.
What you need to do is to take dieting a lil more seriously and dedicate yourself to a strict eating schedule followed by exercise. Having a buddy doing it with you helps pass the time and makes the process alot easier.
If all else fails, induce puking. I'm serious. Once you realize how much thats sucks, dieting will look easy. Or rather, either way will result in win win.

The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did....lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won't help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don't eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i'm going pretty well if i don't say myself. 90 LBS isn't anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice. If you want anymore details, feel free to email me. Just please be patient for ppl seem to email me for advice on this, I will reply, don't worry! ~Adia

exercise is still the best way to lose weight, dear. diet makes you lose weight but mixed with exercise, you have better results. and i warn you coz if you're only losing weight due to your diet, the weight you lost easily comes back plus an excess baggage when you return to your normal diet. i've been thru it myself so trust me on this one. . . .
