Suicide rates among homosexuals are 3x higher than their straight peers. Why would they kill themselves if they could change the way they are?

This is not a God-made rule. It's completely man-made. Why is that? Because the ancient Israelites were very concerned that they not die out so that any sex other than male-female was made an "abomination". It's important to realize that everything that's in the Bible isn't exactly divinely inspired. People made rules to govern their own society and then to make the rules appear more legitimate they will say that it's God's command, when it's not that at all. Read on in Leviticus to discover some more "abominations".
I am a homosexual. I did not choose it. I knew I was different from other boys when I was very young. Some people think that being homosexual is just about the sex part of it; but that's not the case at all. The fact is that I am naturally drawn to other men. That's just the way it is.

Wow! So where does one start. God created man and woman to be together. In Genesis He saw that man was alone and it was not good for him to be alone so God created woman, a complement to man. God did not give Adam a buddy, He gave him a wife. God commanded that they "be fruitful and multiply." This is only possible with a male set and a female set of parts. This is natural, this is ordained by God.
No one is born homosexual or perhaps they are but they weren't intentionally created to same-sexuality. Evil entered the world and he seeks to destroy all the goodness God made. Homosexuality is part of that corruption. I don't think it's as simple as placing blame on a person either. Does anyone make an informed conscious choice in their sexual preference? I don't know. What I do know is that it goes against natural law. Two men together can't make a baby and two women can't either. Therefore I believe it to be against the laws of nature as well as the law of God.
Should they be stoned? Well, that passage was the old testament. There was a different set of rules back then, blood sacrifice and rituals to cover the sins of the people of God. Whores were stoned, heretics were stoned, it wasn't just homosexuals and these practices continued until after the creation of what we call Christianity, Then Christ entered the world and paid the blood dues for all of us. We don't have to pay anymore!
Now all God requires of us is that we acknowledge and accept Jesus of Nazareth as our savior - the one for all sacrifice - and we should want to live according to His teachings if we really get it. One of those is love. You can't very well show love while stoning someone, or ridiculing them or telling them they are going to hell.
Whenever confronted by the question of homosexuality my answer is always the same. I don't agree with the lifestyle I am just called to love you. Who am I to "cast the first stone"?
God Loves You why shouldn't I?

"Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
Nah. Christianity actually condemns Bisexuality. A gay man wouldn't lie with a man like he would a woman. ;)

I guess I'm kinda weird because I see religion and homosexuality different than most of the populace.
I see homosexuality as a choice for some people who are just looking for attention and I see it also is kinda like a defect. Kinda like that person was born with a bad gene that shouldn't be passed on. And for those people who are like homosexuality is found in nature. . .It's only found when no females are present.
As for my view on religion I don't really follow the bible to key because although I love God and I fully believe in Him and His power. See the bible is a book. A book written by men, granted God told man to write it every author puts a little bit of his opinion in his work. Plus the bible was translated many many times so who knows if this is the REAL original work that we read today.
Have a good day and Best wishes in all you do

Okay, first of all, I'm gonna state what every Christian here is going to state - God did not want homosexuals to be stoned. Until a certain point in time, he required his PEOPLE, the Israelis, to be of a certain cloth.
If you'll notice, he never commanded China to do any of this stuff - only the people who currently were living in lands given to them, or were living in lands that would be given to them.
BTW, a preacher once pointed out to me that the wording could have very well been misinterpreted. Instead of meaning ALL homosexuality (why doesn't it state if a woman also lie with womankind, I ponder?), perhaps it only referred to the priests, who were also to be of a certain cut? He also thinks that it means if a man who was SUPPOSED to lie with a woman lies with a man (i.e. a husband to a woman), but that comes from another bible's translation than the one you quoted above
Secondly, I'm a firm believer in that homosexuality is, as any other human preference, merely brain chemicals. Thus, they can be altered, just like any other preference.
If people can learn to like the taste of sashimi, then they can learn to like their own sex. If people's taste in women change over time, why not their taste in men as well (and yeah, that goes any way you can imagine it)?
Brain chemicals are not set in stone. NO chemicals are permanent.

That about sums it up. Anyone who has a brain should realize that it doesn't matter if God sent his son to die for mankind, God was having Gays killed for a thousand years before he decided...hmmm Ok im gonna have my son murdered to show people this is wrong, How stupid.

We should not interpret passages in the Bible literally. That's why Christ founded only one Church so that there will be only one interpreter of the Bible. The Bible does not interpret itself but needs an authentic interpreter. This, for the Catholic, is the community of believers, the Church, guided by the Holy Spirit through its leaders.

Leviticus tells you to stone loads of people.
For example, anybody who kills needs to be put to death. Hmmmm.

Don't believe everything you read. God is Love. Everyone, no matter who or what, is a child of God. God loves all his children and no one can change that.
