By "stains" she can mean several things.
It could be discharge in her underwear, or stains leftover from her menstrual cycle. It could be embarrassing, but shouldn't. Discharge from a woman is natural and does not mean she is being constantly "turned on" and that's why it happens. It's just the body doing what it's suppose to do.
Menstrual cycle stains are embarrassing, but also are understandable. Menstrual stains are very often hard to get out of underwear and should be washed in warm water and bleach (if nescessary). It is normal for woman to get menstrual stains in their underwear, because we are not psychics of when are periods will start! =-]

I kinda understand her....I will let my husband do laundry after I sort through it. Women have "certain" panties that they use during a "certain" time of the month. Wouldn't want you to freak out if you saw it. Also, our bras usually need to be hand washed or in the gentle cycle then hung up to dry. We are pretty picky about the way it is done. But jeans and tees, no big deal. He can have at it. lol

Well if I had a boyfriend who offered to do my laundry, yes I'd feel self-conscious about those "stains". If I trusted and was comfortable with him then maybe I wouldn't mind after a while.

Some people are very private about their laundry. I'm not sure it's a woman-man thing. Although I suspect that, in the case of your girlfriend, you are right in suspecting that she's talking about menstruation. I personally don't think that is such a big deal either, although many women are quite self-conscious about it. It's generally a taboo subject that women don't want to tell men about, but I think that's kind of a vicious cycle, because then men don't know about it!

i would love for my bf to do my laundry! lucky her.. haha. yeah, im pretty sure she's talking about discharge stains. tell her to wear panty liners. jk that'd be mean. but make her feel more comfortable and reassure her that you could care less about those stains. make sure if/when she lets you do her laundry, check to see if they're hand wash or dry clean only. i would hate for my clothes to get ruined, then i would never let my bf do my laundry ever again.

It has nothing to do with embarrassment for my fiance, I know all about her clothes "stains". She just hates the way I do laundry as well as my perception of "clean" vs "dirty".
So now she does our laundry for both of us and it's one more chore that I don't have to worry about. Everybody wins.

Haha! Yeah....
My ex was fine with me doing her laundry when I asked, but I certainly noticed she'd secretly re-arrange all of her clothes to make sure none of her underwear was exposed. Obviously that was moot once I put it into the machine (coz I'd have to take everything out separately anyway), but I guess at least she didn't have to see me seeing them? heh. It was actually cute, in a weird way.

He can do the dishes and vaccuuming too!!!! but really... The underwear thing is definitely embarassing depending on how well you know the person. And what I found is sometimes it is fear. They think you might shrink or ruin their favorite sweater so better to let that one do it themselves!!!My daughter leaves me notes... Don't touch the laundry.. I said fine, I don't want to do your stinky laundry anyway!!!

Well my fiancee and i do our laundry together, and it doesn't bother me. He obviously knows what my clothes look like, he's taken most of them off of me, i'm mean seriously, it doesn't bother me at all. If he sees any stains and stuff, then he sees them. It's obvious that stains and stuff will happen.
