No they were not, archeology has pretty well proven it. Some of them were real although their deeds were blown out of proportion in the reteilling. Once you get into the prophets there s.eems to be a little more historicity

Yes, there are real people that we have historical sources for outside the Bible. One example would be King Herod. What is in conflict with the Bible though is the historical accuracy of the claims for what he did in the Bible like the slaughter of the innocents which is not corroborated by historical accounts outside the Bible. There are a few other figures like this that we know probably existed and were woven into the Bible's tales although there is debate about how the Bible portrays these figures and weaves fiction and fact together.

,Yes I do. Was Jesus real? Did Mary, His Mother, gave birth to him. Did He not die on the Cross for us? Did Moses and a few thousand people cross the Dead when they were chased by Pharaoh and his men? Didnt the people make it to the Land of Milk and Honey. There are lots of biblical stories that we have been taught as children and we carry that for the rest of our lives until we meet our Creator, Maker, Supreme Being, Jehovah, etc. If you believe, and if you are a true Christian or of the Jewish faith, or any faiths, then they are real to you.

Yeah, The Old testament gives the lineage of Jesus. Check out Gen 1: 27 God created man in his own image, but Gen 2: 7-8 and 2: 21-22 God took special care to form Adam and breathed life into him, then he made Eve from his rib. They were placed in Eden by God and the history of begets leading to Christ began.

Bearing in mind that many of the writings in the old testament were handed down over generations they are probably based on real people but cannot be taken as precise historical accounts in the way we might think of today

Not all of them. But there are some characters I do think existed, although in the Bible they were heavily fictionalized and dramatized.

I even think there is a chance that Jesus existed, but I do not think he was the "Christ", the son of god, or the earthly embodiment of god.
