Happiness is a state of mind ie we think that we have the reasons to be happy and therefore we feel happy. It's kind of a match and fit between our perceived matrix of happiness and what we accept as reality. The perceived matrix is largely based on our imagination and what we accept as reality is again because we accept it to be so.Thus both have a role to play in varying degrees, depending upon each situation of happiness. In plain language,we are fooling ourselves to an extent, whenever we choose to be happy.Yes,I agree and I also agree that it's O.K,as life is not a simple linear or a straight line journey.

It is the degree of the patience we have to see the reality and accept it and try to understand it. When we are unable to face the reality we go into imagination and try to avoid or forget the reality but it comes back and we feel miserable. So we are not happy even in imaginary world. We have to increase our patience to see the reality and to understand it fully. That will make us prudent and happy too.

I believe reality plays a major part in happiness for people's lives. Oh we can pretend things aren't what they really are for a while but one day reality is going to hit us square in the face and we'll be forced to deal with it. Take for example living in a bad neighborhood- well we can pretend we don't see the drug deals going on, on the counter or we can pretend we didn't see that drive-by but one day these realities will be at our front door.

You have to feel happy ,what ever circumstances you are in, happiness becomes your reality. Imagination is to express our self in a creative way to invent things to better our lives. You are fooling yourself if you pretend of what you are not. and it is not okay.
