I'm sure you will find many differing opinions, but I will share mine.
Babies, whether baptised or not, go to Heaven. Baptism does not save you, it is merely an outward sign of a saved person...that however is a completely different discussion. =)
Babies, children who have not reached an age of accountability (there is no specific age) and adults who are mentally retarded will all be in Heaven. These groups have no way of determining right from wrong in a Biblical sense and cannot understand repentance.
As far as adults with the mental capacity to understand, if they do not repent and turn to Christ they will suffer in Hell.
People always want to know about the person on some island who has never heard of Jesus. First of all, some people believe that all will hear before Christ's return. This isn't explicitly explained in Scripture so I can't really say as far as that.
I do know that the Bible says that the "heavens declare the glory of God." You know about the Creator through the creation. You were given a conscience that depicts right from wrong, so you are without excuse.

For questions like these, we should look to the source and not trust everyone else's opinions.
"People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD BELONGS TO SUCH AS THESE.'" -Luke 18:15-16
Whether or not the baby was baptized makes no difference. Being baptised by a pastor or priest is not what saves or condemns us - the physical act of baptism does not guarantee our salvation (John 3:18, John 5:24, Ephesians 2:8-9). It is only by God's grace, through our faith in Christ that we are saved. This requires a concious decision on our part. We either choose to accpet Christ or to reject Him. A baby is incapable of making this conscious decision.
Concerning those who have never truly heard:
"All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is NOT those who HEAR the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who OBEY the law who will be declared righteous. (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are WRITTEN ON THEIR HEARTS, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares." -Romans 2:12-16

I hope you realize you're going to have to balance all the "babies definitely go to Heaven" statements with the reality of the Flood, and the killing of firstborns, and "Jacob I loved but Esau I hated" verses that say no, God is NOT required to save the infants! The circumcision of Jewish boys as being under a covenant, meant that the uncircumcised non-Israelite kids had a different destination if they died! Otherwise no sense in circumcision, other than to just get it out of the way.
Israel was a remnant, and God revealed Himself to them. He did not reveal Himself to the rest of the world. And God didn't owe the Israelites salvation, either. In the same manner, God does not owe even "innocent" infants salvation. If baptism "marks" the kids as God's own, then we at least have a parallel between the two rites, but we don't get to tell God how to run His universe and whether to save or condemn His creation. We do what we're told, and we trust Him to do the right thing, especially with our kids.

That is an excellent questions. First of all the Bible says that we are to be like the Babies/children if we want to inherit the kingdom of God. God says do not forbid the children to come unto me. THey're ALL there.
I know that Jesus is the only way to heaven and I believe God has given us all the urgency in our hearts to deliver His message to unbelievers. So I do not doubt in anyway that a man must be born again , however, God is the judge of man's hearts and He has not called any Christian to judge another man's final judgement.
The word says that God will have mercy on those He has mercy. The word also says whosoever gave water...blanket, visited the prisoners blah, blah, blah (no disrespect)...did so for me (JEsus). I trust that God will definetly make the right and just decision in regards to all of our souls.
My question is: Who is worse off? a believer (Christian) who knows the truth but did not share it, or someone who did not know the truth because no one shared it. A Christian who is quick to say, "Oh they are all going to hell." Needs to ask themselves what are they doing about hell?

They simply remain ;asleep' in death until the resurrection.
(Psalm 13:3) Do look [upon me]; answer me, O Jehovah my God. Do make my eyes shine, that I may not fall asleep in death,
(Daniel 12:2) And there will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life and those to reproaches [and] to indefinitely lasting abhorrence.
(Revelation 20:12) And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds.
Not everyone goes to heaven.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6Â Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
this scripture proves that nothing survives death, so there cannot be any such thing as ghosts.
We are resurrected out of God's memory of us.

From a Christian stand point...some may tell you they will burn in hell.
I am Pagan however, and believe that is a terrible thought.
We don't know what happens after death and that has became an obsession among people for centuries. So, what do we do?
We create stories about the afterlife to help cope with our fears....which in turn gives us hope...and as it is passed down from generation to generation, it becomes more and more "truthful".
