I have been told that you can earn your degree online in Youth Ministry. Does anyone know of any colleges that are legit and offer it?

Being a youth minister, is much like being an adult minister, you just work with younger people. So you must have a college degree and some seminary work is required. Your college degree can be a B.S. or a four year degree. Your seminary work will concentrate in the area of your choosing, such as youth.

Many churches will allow you to work on their staff with the Youth in their church, while you are getting your degree. They will, depending on the resources of the church, pay you for your work and maybe even pay for your education. The larger the church, the more resources they have. God Bless You, this is a great area in which to serve the Lord.

It helps to be young-ish, often 20s and 30s.

Some are former teachers, but many are ordained ministers who have a gift for working with youth.

There is a great need for authentic youth ministers!
