NO!!!!!!!! Black cats are like any other cat except for their colouring. It is like being racist to cats. Black cats are very sweet!

This goes back to when people believed witches rode around on brooms with black cats behind them. It's still nice to talk about these things and to use them in Halloween decorations, but there is no basis for it. Cats are not good or evil, just self-centred like most animals. You treat a cat well and you will have the finest companion you can find, and it doesn't depend on the colour of the cat. Abuse a cat and you'll have a nasty beast on your hands.
Many people believe it's bad luck if a black cat crosses your path. Well, a black cat crossed the path of Chicago Cubs 3rd baseman Ron Santo, right out on a ballfield, and the Cubs haven't been in a World Series since then. So the jury's still out on that one.

Well black cats are not evil to say, although I do have one that is kind of neurotic and Could be the devil incarnate sometimes, but have always been said to have caused good or bad luck throughout the centuries depending on where you lived. It probably all started in the Middle Ages when It was largely believed that the black cat became affiliated with evil. Because cats are nocturnal and roam at night, they were believed to be supernatural servants of witches, or even witches themselves. Even during the round up of witches the cats were often rounded up with them and shared the same fate at the stake as their owners did. Although in other places around the world the black cat is considered to be lucky. For example, finding a strange black cat on a porch brings prosperity to the owner, from Scottish folklore and In places like England, it may be lucky to own a black cat, but it is unlucky have one cross your path.

You're joking. This is a little animal. While I understand that some people are superstititious about cats, their fear is based on outdated mythology. If you think black cats are evil, then you probably also believe in witches and devil worship, right?

I have been given my cat a toy on a string, and a mattress for our mattress room even even with the undeniable fact that she would be able to probable by no potential use it, she sleeps with me. My cat have been given my father and mom dogs some dogs biscuits and my friends dogs some tennis balls.

that's a superstision, because black is a dark color. It's told that witches have only black cats - I own a black cat, she's all black 100% and she's soo sweet

Some are evil, my black cat brought a dead mouse in the house and left it in the kitchen. She is evil but pretends she is good all loving wanting petted and purring laying on people to sleep. One day I saw her pounce on a compost pile and then run across the yard with a dead mole in her mouth. We put a bell on her once and the next day she was sitting in the squirrel feeder really quiet.
