I studied the bible for 3-4 years, have some background knowledge on the origins of christianism, and to put my grassy hands on relics is probably a dream.

Have you ever studied the history of other religions and there beliefs WITH AN OPEN MIND? Because if you have not, how can you reject something so important based on what you FEEL or HAVE HEARD from someone else.

I haven't because it is utter nonsense that isn't worth bothering with.
But I will note that a lot of atheists used to be Christians and spent a lot of time studying the bible believing it to be true but starting to realise that it wasn't.
Those people had a very hard journey to go through losing religion (which makes me glad I didn't get a religious upbringing).
Besides, from our point of view there's not much difference between the evidence for Christianity or the evidence for Hercules (which was considered very important back in the day).

Why should I?
My brother converted to Islam, and my sister married a Catholic
man. My son is a Pentecost and his wife follows the teachings of a very compassionate Guru with millions of followers in India.
I am a Buddhist and my wife is a Hindu.
WE all get together as often as possible and at least once an year as we are all living in different countries - USA, Canada, Australia, India.
We have no problems towards each other, love the company of each other and are tolerant and considerate towards each other . We go through our own hell and heaven on earth - but get together for the slightest excuse and have a heavenly time together.
Why should I reject any one's god or religion - because we come from broad-minded families and discuss our practises and beliefs good-heartedly.
None of it is important to one another, but important to each him/her -self.
We don't argue and fight that my religion and god are the truest or try to convert each other.
Why do people want to convert/influence each other unless they are insecure in their religion/beliefs/scriptures.
Why not let each one follow their own way?
Which followers of which religion do not kill/harm/deceive/others ; commit all the sins of their religion - Which followers of which religion can say that the crime rate among them is less than the crime rate of the followers of other religions.
Why should I read the Bible when I have also read other scriptures and find that they too say the same thing and all are parrots.

Just tell me one thing. How would it help to read a history of some thing when you don't even believe in the basic concept? It's not Bible alone but all religious texts,no matter of which religion.Have you read the History or evolution of Atheism?Have you ever wondered why Christianity is producing the largest number of Atheists in the world? If you want to per sue the topic,do so with an open mind or just carry on with your faith, and no body shall be any wiser.

I had studied the history of the bible.
However, you might like to provide the evidences for have christianity, noticeably the concrete evidence that this jesus guy is really the son of god.
By the way, I reject it because the bible is a whole load of hogwash.
---------
Anyway, with that being said .... had you, as a christian, ever studied the history of the bible? or had you, as a christian ever studied the next 50,000 religions, the life of their figurehead /figureheads and all the evidence which they claims proof their "truthness"? Because if you have not, how can you reject something so important based on what you feel or have heard from someone else?
So, did you do your own homework before you ask this question?

I have, i was once a catholic. I've read 4 different versions of the bible and studied all i could find but in the end it still made me feel hollow so I started looking into other religions and I found that paganism was right for me. Nothing is right for everyone, christianity my be right for you but not for your co-worker. No one religion is right for everyone and some people prefer no religion at all. Most religions think they are the only ones who are right, it seems to me their are a lot of right answers to the wrong question. Don't ask what is the right one, ask what is right for you and respect other's choices as well.

To my knowledge there is no place to study the life of Christ except the bible and it only covers a portion of his life. I would like to have something that covers his whole life on earth and compare that to the little dab that is in the bible. I am not an atheist but I do have a little agnosticism about me.

I am in the middle east and studying the historical facts that have been found that paralelle the stories in the Bible.
I am still an athiest. I can study the history of it, but that is not going to convince me that the supernatural elements happened.
