Apparently, according to God, those virtues are nothing compared to kissing omnipotent a** your whole life.

He knows men's hearts.
It is a difficult question, for many will say to you: the path is narrow! And this is truth. However, it is also true that an outwardly kind person might have a dark heart, while a creepy old man that stinks and seems yukky to us may have a heart of gold. And this is how God judges people. Ask always for a heart of flesh, and seek forgiveness for the times when you have been cold and hard-hearted. Recognize this condition and pray for yourself and for others. When you pray for others you are praying for yourself. Say often: "Lord, have mercy."
For by all intents and purposes, we are all hell-bent. We are all in the same boat, dare I say. God does not give us terror and pain. He gives us a test. What is your true mettle? Even so, at the end, even the good will ask Him: "When did I ever see you hungry, Lord?"

The Christian God does not send anyone to hell. The idea is that you can go to God or you can go to hell. It's your choice. And if good deeds, kindness, etc. would make you right for God, we wouldn't be Christians. We would be devout Jews and keep the law of Moses.
Like a lot of people, you need to learn about Christianity if you are going to criticize it rationally.

I don't believe that he gives you eternal terror and pain. The Biblical '' hell '' is purely metaphorical symbolising a state of mind that is not at peace. The literal interpretation was just nonsense so that the priests in those days could get the average folk to behave in an appropriate and moral way.
They had no other means of control so they had to scare them.
Simple.
The true Christian God is all loving and all giving with no expectation in return.True spirituality is about selflessness and unconditional acceptance of those around us.Any other interpretation is a distorted one.
There are '' archaic ''in my mind interpretations of Christianity that work for certain people and for them i say-If it works for you good just let me be!

I don't understand either how we were supposedly "granted" Free Will but are asked to have "faith" in god or else we wouldn't go to heaven. Being a good person is NOT better than a sinful, but faithful Christian? Why would an omnipotent God have any interest in us or take revenge on the helpless nonbelievers?

There are only two requirements to go to Heaven:
1. Acknowledge, accept, and believe in Jesus Christ as true God AND true man; and
2. Follow His commandments of loving God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and of loving your fellowmen like you love your self.
You only have part of number 2 requirement by doing "good deeds, random acts of kindness, compassion, civility and love". You don't meet both requirements. So you fail to qualify.
Why can you not accept Jesus Christ? His offer of salvation is free. Open the door of your heart and let Him in.
The requirements were mentioned to us by the Holy Spirit we talk to. If you will believe it, He is THE Holy Spirit. If you will believe it further, He IS the spirit of Jesus Christ.

sure, I do ... not purely on Saturday night yet each and every night. each and on a daily basis is a sparkling day to honor and worship our Lord and we are to guard our bodies this is His temple. Wild horses would not shop me out of church for Sunday college, Worship Hour, or the different day the doors are open ... until eventually i replaced into somewhat unwell and could not circulate. Grace and peace. God bless.

The problem people seem to be having is thinking God is here to make our life better. The reality is we as his people have sinned and we are on our way to hell-now to avoid this situation God is giving those of us who are willing to accept it a chance to escape the punishment coming.
Now if we reject God's offer then we will continue on to hell which was our original destination.

you're right, good deeds, random acts of kindness, compassion, civility, and love are all not enough for your salvation- to save you from your sins. The amazing part of the Christian God is that you have to do NOTHING to gain your salvation. No matter how many acts of kindness, or how many good deeds you do, you will still be the same sinner to God. UNTIL, you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, and believe, and have faith in Him, then, that belief, will save you from Hell. First one must have faith, for faith alone is what saves, then the actions- good deeds, random acts of kindness, etc., will follow.
Good question :-)

Hello dear!
Well, you are placing one more prompt question!
Well, believers, especially of the Judaic religions, are obliged to follow their rulers and they, in turn, theirs, who are the rulers of the Western world.
Believers are obliged to offer ALL to their rulers (in the name of their god!). They should posses nothing, no even their lives, children, etc. Even dreaming and visions are considered sins!
In all this terror (as you properly characterized it) they are not allowed to think, thus they follow without questioning their rulers about even the god they are worsipping!

Christians say that you have to do nothing to gain salvation.
Ok..
But you sure have to do lots of things to LOOK like you are saved after you do "nothing" to be saved.
If you do not do the things to LOOK like you are saved, you will be treated as if you are not saved.
This is part of the quiet game that goes on in fundie churches where personal and political preferences justify the status of church members.
